    NW autocross

I've REALLY been wanting to do Auto-X for the last few years. I finally have some free time and would like to make it out to an event or two. Unfortunately, Tri-Cities is too far away for me. I saw on the nwr-scca page that there are several more events this year including one at Bremerton...

Backspacing question and Widest wheel on tire question...buying tomorrow

a 4.5" backspacing is too shallow for anything other than maybe a 7" wide wheel. Most 8" wide Mustang wheels use a 5.72" backspacing on an 8" wheel. The wheel in that picture looks like it's got way too much negative offset to fit a fox body properly.

wheel offset questions with sn95 brakes

He specifically said that he will NOT be using the SN95 axles. So, he's using the large offset with the stock length axles.

wheel offset questions with sn95 brakes

I think the +36mm offset is going to be too much. On a 9" rim, that's almost 6.5" of backspacing. I can guarantee that will hit your quad shocks. It will probably hit, or come close to hitting, even if you flip them. Good chance the tires will hit the inside of the wheel wells also. From...

Just want to give this thread a bump and say that i've scheduled my car for tinting on Friday the 13th. Hope that date doesn't end up jinxing me.

Anyone have wheels taking up garage space?

I'm planning on buying new wheels for my fox Real Soon Now. If that happens, my '96 Cobra wheels (17x8) will be up for sale. I'll throw a message up here on the forums once they're ready to sell.

White smoke, gas smell, bad idle, loss of power in low RPMs???

Do the compression test to make sure it's not a head gasket first. You can buy a compression tester really cheap or rent one from the local auto parts store. Make sure to get the threaded kind since they seal better and don't require two people to use them correctly. No sense paying...

    Attention: Stick shift owners

I drive a 5-speed daily. I'll take a stick over an auto any day of the week. If traffic is so bad that it makes you need an automatic, it's time for a bus pass.

Ok...Found Out What I Am Gonna Do...!

You're not gonna get much for $750. A good deck is going to be $300 minimum. Components, amps, wiring, etc. all cost money.

    3G Alternator swap

I've done the 3G swap on two fox bodies and was under the impression that the 2000 alternator was not the same and would not fit correctly. I used a Shucks alternator (Autolite) made for a '95 GT in my first swap, and a 160amp unit from Alterstart (i think) and the PAPerformance kit in the...

Need tint? Group discount available now. [Everett, WA]

I'm in. Is there anything I need to do other than call to schedule a time and tell them I'm with "SeattleRSX"? I've been wanting to get my windows tinted for a while now, and this seems like the perfect opportunity.

    Holley systeMax ll engine upgrade

I don't know anyone first-hand who has this kit, but i've been considering getting it myself. According to Holley, this kit will dyno 350hp/350tq at the crank. You'll need supporting hardware (MAF, throttle body, rockers, etc) but that dyno was supposedly on a stock short block 302. I imagine...

    Head count from Mustang Round-up........

I was there with my white '90 LX and my wild strawberry '92 LX. Had the strawberry car in the for sale lot for about an hour before it sold, so then i just parked both cars together in lot #8. Finally got to meet N20Jnky and Killrb in person. Both of you guys have *gorgeous* cars. A friend...

Getting wax off the the above window trim in a fox.

Use peanut butter. It works great for removing wax residue. To save yourself the hassle in the future, buy a high quality wax that doesn't leave any white residue in the first place. I prefer Meguars #27 yellow wax myself. Back to black is worthless. It wears off quickly and takes a ton...

    BCC mustang roundup question

Do you have to pay the $40 to be in the Judged show if you just want to park with all the other Mustangs, or do you just pay the $15? I want to put both of my cars in the show, but don't want to pay $40 each to be entered in a show i have no chance of winning.

WHHHY is my car soooo slow?!?

rsw007 - Everyone keeps questioning your times. Why don't you just settle the dispute and tell us what you've done? I personally don't care, because i'm not a drag racer, but others are obviously interested. We're all on the same team here. I don't question your times at all. FordMuscle...

Bellevue CC mustang show next weekend?

Keep in mind that the main entrance to BCC is closed right now for construction (or at least it was a week or two ago). You'll probably have to come in the back way or via the side entrance this year.

Opinions are like... I need yours

I think they look really good on both cars, but i'd be afraid to run them because of law enforcement and absent minded tailgaters. If they were about half as dark, then they'd be perfect.
