    fixing stripped-out screw holes?

    If it were me, I'd see about oversized screws first as this would be easiest, if that woudn't work I'd weld the holes shut then drill/tap new holes. By the way I'd be a lil leary of using pop rivits as if they loosen up its one more rattle you'll have to live with, and or fix.

    In order to clean up the look of my old stang im considering welding/brazing the quarter extentions and headlight buckets to the quarters/fenders, amongst other things. Whats everyones thought on doing this? I assume it would have to be brazed or leaded in there as the extention peices are "pop"...

    It is my understanding that they used a 2 peice DS that is held together by a rubber hub. They did this to help reduce vibration, where 40 years later they are causing vibration. That is my understanding on these driveshafts.

    GT40P in 65

    I know the GT40P heads require a special header, MAC makes a set along with some other brands. For mine I also had to use 90* boots on the plug wires for them to clear, other than that no problems. My car is a 68 so I don't know about any clearance issues on a 65.

    I had the exact same problem. My car leaked oil after it was shut off. Mine was the oil pan gasket. Since I was doing it I also replaced the stock oil pan with something a lil bit better. It solved my problem

The hardest part is makeing complete sure that everything is clean nothing sticking to the 35+ year old glass, working in a clean enviroment so to minimize any dust sticking to the film, etc etc...     I used a sawzall, I thought it worked fairly well, not to mention the hundred's of other uses they have.

    GT40P Heads

    Yep, the MAC headers fit, no clearance issues to speak of, allthough I did have to use 90degree boots on the plug wires to clear. If your planning on buying headers anyways its no extra cost. I don't know if these "special" headers will fit a "normal" set of heads or not. :shrug:
