Gentlemen;
I'm very close to pulling the trigger on a KB 2.6L for my 2008 GT. The only thing that's really holding me back at this point is concern about dropping a huffer on a brand new (1900 miles) daily driver.
Has anyone done this to a new car and subsequently had problems? I'd hate...
Thanks, gentlemen. Unfortunately, powerful audio is an accessory to my right foot. Music appropriately matched to the sing-song of a powerful V8 are flip sides of the same coin.
I'm going to fab up fiberglass component speaker housings for the door panels (in place of the pizza pans...
You're absolutely correct. But when I say harvest, it's presumed that we'd do something with it. The whole process needs to be updated and expanded. More asset retrieval, refining, and distribution would improve our situation all the way around.
I can't believe you all live with the stock Shaker systems... I really like the sound of my Mustang and I haven't even begun to modify it, but someone has to like to slam gears to really good tunes. Someone has to have put in some really nice audio systems.
I'm working on my good half real hard for a Kenne Bell Big Bore SC. My only concern is my '08 GT is my daily driver. I have no experience with long term SC reliability. Anyone have experience to share? How many miles can one expect before it requires some rework for positive case sealing...
If you really want our supply issues to change (and thus prices to fall), you need to write your congressmen and tell them to remove the roadblocks preventing the harvesting of vast petroleum resources in our sovereign territories.

Very nice car. Nice write-up.
You'll note my pseudonym tells a tale. I too was a Chevy guy - committed to Corvettes and Camaros. I'm now in an '08 GT driver and the boxes are arriving as well.
Congrats!
What do you folks use to protect maintain your window seals with? I've been told silicone works very well as a preservative with the benefit of keeping the seals lubricated for smooth window operation. I've also heard baby oil but I just can't entertain that option. The scent would be too...
Look into credit union rates first. A local credit union financed my '08 GT at 4.25% when the best my bank could do was 5.89%.
Credit unions are subject to fewer regulations and benefit from special legal provisions unavailable to banks.
Gentlemen:
I'm new to the forum but I've spent a great deal of time reading posts. I know what I want to do performance wise to my '08 GT coupe. However, I truly enjoy powerful audio systems as well. I don't see much in the way of audio - unless I missed something.
I'm interested in...
I spent all day driving my wife to malls in the area (Tyson's Corner, Pentagon City, etc) and I was very judicious with the throttle. I never saw the high side of 16.5 mpg according to the information display center. Of course traffic in the Tyson's Corner area didn't help either.
I just bought it...
I sold my Acura RSX Type-S because I couldn't squeeze more than 340 whp out of it without risking my life - steering, braking, and driving the front wheels. It routinely achieved 28 mpg - so fuel mileage wasn't a consideration, nor was the cost of fuel moving to an American...
