Corbeau harness bar...schroth dot 4 point harness and racing seats on street car...safe?

Its been mentioned, but anything other than an oe-type dot approved seatbelt can get you a ticket on the street, so at least keep the factory stuff in for dor highway duty. That being said, I'd rather have a 4 or 6pt bar over just a harness bar. If you're doing the type of stuff that needs a...

Progress Thread Motivate Me For The Love Of God

About the same, my math is failing me at the moment. You want at least as much full thread enagament as the size of the fastener. What rockers are you running btw? I had a horrible time with the geometry of my comp steel ones, pattern just did not want to get as small as I thought it should be.

Progress Thread Motivate Me For The Love Of God

I feel your pain, just went thru this with mine. The video method does work nut needs a good eye. Use it as a starting point and the use your adjustable pushrod and a dry erase marker to find the smallest sweep from there. The flat side of the rocker trunnion goes to the nut. There are...

There was a dark green that came on the aero nose foxes that looks damn good (especially on gt's), dunno about the 4 eye cars though. @85_SS_302_Coupe s always looked mean as hell to me though, so....

It fits! Will probably end up going with a different hood eventually cause I hate the way this one fits, but it just got bumped way down the priority list.

Thanks man. I do have a cheap miter saw and an abrasive blade that I basically bought years ago just for that purpose, but didn't know how well that blade/disc would work with aluminum. Looking back though probably could have gotten away with a carbide tipped fine pitch saw.

Its only slightly overwhelming. Hydroboost would theoretically be an option, but I'm going manual steering so no pump. Current booster is a 93 cobra unit, so a stock booster would fit way better. Before the spacers it was sitting on the headers, so hopefully now it will clear, and maybe will...

and got motor test fit again, this time sans headers cause im looking for hood clearance now. spent a good half hour trying to find my damn brake booster, valve cover had to come off to get it in, but theres just enough room, that last header bolt is going to be bitch the one big problem i have...

also got the intake smoothed as far as i can with the arbors/tooling i can get local, needs a little more work still but good enough for a test fit. ill revisit it later, dont really want to start hogging on it cause i really have no idea wtf im doing, but need the $$ to spend on electronics...

slowly but surely making more progress, ive kinda switched gears a tad and am hoping to have the thing at least running and driving by the end of the summer if the budget will allow, and do the remaining body/paint work later. just want to drive the thing, ya know? anyway, next step was making...

Those look like the same headers I have for the 427 (6228's, iirc), may be a touch on the large side for that 408, but won't hurt it.

Paint and Body Fox Body Painting 101

doesnt that stuff need to be neutralized after? fwiw, i found aircraft stripper followed by a da and a couple wire wheels worked better for my at home use stripping the shell. obviously doesnt do a thing for rust, but for paint and body filler it worked great.
