    Muffler only question

Flowmaster Force II 2.5" Cat-back Exhaust is the way to go in your application. I had Dynomax Superturbo's on and while not as quite as stock, they droned like hell at 2K RPM. The Flows with stock headers and an H-pipe have that traditional Flow sound and not obnoxious and they don't drone...

Outer Door Belt Molding: Replace or paint?

Open the door, look on the open end, one phillip head screw. Then slide the moulding parallel to the window away from the mirror or front of the car. It is held on by plastic body pins.

New to me 86 Mustang GT

Valve cover gaskets are always the culprit of leaking onto the headers, check by the spark plug to see how wet it is. Besides the rear main, the other area to watch is the back of the lower intake.

    need some belt help

So you calculated you needed 73" and got a 73" belt and it was too short. Hmm, sounds like your calculation is off. How did you calculate the length? I always recommend using a length of string routed the same way the belt would go around the pulleys to get close to the size you need...

Has anyone converted a fox body into a SINGLE KEY set up

I've know plenty of people who have. You need to change all your lock cylinders to one key. Your local locksmith is a good place to start. Cheaper if you change your doors, truck/hatch key to your ignition one, vs changing 3.

    white smoke everywhere help!

Did you block off the end of the hoses? Coolant does flow from the one in the front to the spacer and returns from the one in the back. This was stated above. But yes, fix it correctly and all your issues should be over.

    white smoke everywhere help!

You probably are fine using the brake cleaner, but it sounds like you didn't install the gasket on the EGR spacer correctly. Those 2 rubber hoses on the top of the EGR spacer, one is in, one is out. If the gasket is bad or not installed properly, your basically dumping coolant into the intake...

    Water in rear footwells?

If the rear footwells are filled with water, I would suspect the door seals are shot. But like you said, it very well could be the Quarter window seals or possibly the hatch seal if you have a hatch. Before you start ordering parts, you need to see where the water is coming from. Your best...

1987 ford 5.0 SO Oil Leak Question

You can have excessive blowby, meaning the piston rings are worn. Do a compression test and post the results of each cylinder. The valve just "sits" in the hole, so it shouldn't be super tight, it's normal from what your experiencing.

How do you take off a fan clutch?

You should be able to remove it after you take the 4 bolts out. It must be corroded on. Smack the end carefully where you removed the bolts ( the water pump pully end) with a rubber mallet.

rearend vibrating very bad after trac-loc rebuild

    Auto Transmission woes - '92 5.0 Vert

Maybe I was just lucky, but I have a performance rebuild on mine, and about 80K miles later it's still running strong. I agree on a T5 being more fun. If I had to do all over, I would have did the swap. Maybe someday when the motor pukes out I will swap in a new drivetrain . But...
