    It was shifting bad because of the low fluid. If you only drove it 4 miles, your trans should be fine. Get it fixed and re-check your level, and you should be fine. Cleaning your IAC and throttle body of carbon should settle the idle down.

    Not sure about it being lighter, but depends on what kind of driving you do. Highway? Then you wanna keep an AOD. Just street driving and keep the cost a little lower? Then a C4, as it's only a 3 speed. But others will tell you to go with a T5 conversion.
