    ive been thinking about going with the fr500 replicas in anthracite from wheelreplicas.com Problem is-they come in 18*9 only-and i need to know the widest tire i can stick on the back wheels without it looking ugly.

    dont forget-its not completely necessary to buy a entire cold air kit to have a k&n filter. if thats all you want-simply go to oreilleys or autozone and get a drop in replacement k&n for the factory setup.

    Low pitched "chirp" type noise when cruising in 5th gear.......Any ideas???

    i get the same thing-only when cruising at high speeds, and i noticed it was worse going into headwind. sounds like its coming from the dash, i thought it might be the hood or scoop. what did you do to fix it?

    How durable are these 4.6l engines?

    i had 2 previous cars to my 2002 gt, a 95 5.0 that had 150k miles when i sold it (didnt leak or use a drop of oil) and my 98 gt that also didnt leak or use a single drop of oil. I had intake problems on that car, but that was it. as far as the internals go, they are as strong as they need to be...

    how do i bleed the brakes

    front you can press in-dont have to bleed the brakes. rear calipers need a special tool that twists(or screws) the piston back in. either way i dont see you needing a brake bleed, probably a new caliper.

    dont put them back the way they came off and the crank might not turn. have to get it align honed. then itll be all good.

    $850 for a gear install??? Summit sells the Ford racing aluminum DS for $174-they gotta pull the DS anyways-so no added labor there. $675 for gears sounds like waaaay too much to me. I paid $425 gears and install.

    271rwhp on a mustang dyno=about 350fwhp, or about 300rwhp on a dynojet. wow! most stock cars make around what 225 at the wheels on a dyno jet? so 75rwhp(86.25fwhp) from just a tune, pulleys,lts and exhaust? dayumm-thats a 33% increase over stock for cheap!

    does the seatbelt stay "in-loop" in anyone elses car? mine gets difficult to pull when i stick in the loop-then pops out after about the third pull on it.

    Ummm....they DID sell the '00 Cobra R's to individuals. Infact- i watched one pull out of Fox and Hound here in Houston a couple months ago. It was the REAL DEAL. Also-theres no mistaking that very disctinct sound of the 5.4 coming out the side exit exhaust.

    my 02 gt was doing it. id be cruising along, push in the clutch, hit the brake and start turning-and it would go dead. it was the Idle air control valve going out. had it replaced-and hasnt done it since.

    hell-i always run 89 in my cars(with stock timing settings). i get better gas milage with 89 than 93. the lower octane fuels will burn better/more efficiently.

    umm-they are still putting windsor engines in the cars after 2000. Mine is a 2002-and the 8th character in the vin is (x). According to ford racing, if the 8th character is (x) then its a windsor built with 8 bolt flywheel. If the 8th character in the vin is (W) then its a Romeo built engine...
