    paint the engine compartment gloss black I say, but that would require removal of the engine to do a nice job, which I am sure you don't want to go through. I agree on that upper radiator hose. It looks ugly to me. A nice new black normal hose looks better IMO.

    99% of the time you get popping through the carb, it's timing. Do you have a vacuum advance? Have you verified that the timing increases with engine speed?

    Are you trying to say you want to know if a flat tappet cam and lifter set will work in your engine? If so, it will, but you will need new pushrods that are the proper length. But you would be better off with what stykthyn said and get a stock H.O. roller cam.

    Yep, they are the Doug's 660YA's. They were a tight fit, but the fit none-the-less with some careful engine positioning. It's definitely a nice header. I think I saw some pictures of your exhaust setup on TFFN? or was that someone else's?

    Finally got my 347 running and broken in last Sunday, and had time today to fill up the ATF all the way in the tranny to drive it, as well as tune the timing, idle mixture and such. I'll post a little video of it running in the driveway a little later tonight, so let me know what you guys think...

    you shouldn't see any mileage effects with heads or intake, but you will with the charger.
