    351 Cleveland?

It is a great motor, but he will need a lot of major parts like: heads, intake, distributor, headers, timing cover, dampner, pulleys, brackets, accessories, motor mounts, trans bell housing, oil pan, radiator. You can forget about passing any smog tests or having A/C. Most of the brackets he...

    351 Cleveland?

    351 Cleveland?

I agree with all the above. I had a 351C 2V in my 71 Mach I and it was wild. Getting a 351C block that hasn't been bored to hell and back is very rare. If you had heads and an intake I'd say go for it! You will have to pay to get lots of things fabricated. In today's world, and without the...

    Mustang 5.0 vs Explorer 5.0

Check out LKQ. They have a yard in Manchester Tennessee. I don't know where in KY you live, there may be a closer location. They have 1999 Explorer and Mountaineer engines with 88K-115K miles for $440.12. They don't include the engine accessories, but you can't hardly buy just the intake and...

    High mileage.What to look for?

No more than 2K. Remember that every part of the car has 200K on it. You need to look at replacing break hoses, vacume lines, bearings, engine & trans mounts, shocks, struts, ball joints, tie rods, bushings, etc. At 200K accessories like alternators, AC compressors, PS pump, and the like tend to...

HELP!!! $200 and I dont know what to buy!

Matt, get the K&N, Cap & Rotor, & wires. Also, put in new plugs, hoses, alignment, break job. Maintenance first, then other stuff. Try polishing the headlights before you replace them. Get some Blue Magic metal polish and 1500 grit wet sand paper. Wet sand then polish with a buffer. FYI, I still...

While my car is apart, should i switch to Explorer injectors?

I thought the injectors on Explorers are the same as Mustangs, 19#? The tops are orange and not gray, but they are the same, so the swap will make no difference.

    AODE Rpm's with 4.10's

Your previous gears of 3:27, 2000 rpm, at 70 mph puts you with stock 245/45 x 17" tires. Using that, you aren't going 70 mph, but only 66.75 mph. 3:90 gears would give you 2400 rpm at 70 mph, or more likely is that you didn't install a speed calibrator and your speedometer is off. At 70 mph you...
