    Well it's apparent something on the valvetrain for the #8 hole is keeping a valve open (assuming you are smart enough to test with both valves closed :D ) All any of us could do is give you an educated guess, which it seems you are capable of making on your own. Ya just gotta tear into it...

    I bought one for the same reason you did (figured if Summit carried it, might be a decent piece) and had the same whine issue ... even after 6 months ... went to napa and that unit worked out for me. The sound is from the little ball-bearings chattering inside the collar they ride on ...

    The HUGE fenderwells on these mod cars make all 17's appear smaller in diameter than they truly are (proportions) ... I think these cars look good with 18's minimum and 20's max. Anyhow, I have yet to see any "factory" athracite bullitts that "appear" smaller in diameter than they are ...

    At six-three I've got decent size hands .. Their knobs fit perfect and look sweet when mounted with the factory plate and boot ... I had the silver anodized "gripper" with the 5 speed logo :(

    Will I need to machine my stock block to accept a CHP 347 stroker kit?

    You'll have to notch the bottom of the cylinders so the rod bolts don't hit and the assembly can rotate ... other than that it'll all slide in with the usual rebuild maching that should be done. Sorry :(

    The o2 sensors detect oxygen content coming through the exhaust vapors and then sends that signal up to the computer ... the ECU (comp) interprets the signal and determines whether or not to lean or richen the fuel mixture. With 5.0 EFI, they are essential ... cats are not :nice:
