    Gas Mileage

    So has anyone heard what kind of mileage the 3v 4.6 is going to get? I'm hoping it willl increase 2mpg or so over the current gen of cars because of the VVT. Anyone know, or have any theories?

    Haha, this car isn't even reliable stock :rlaugh: Anyway, do subframes, shifter, h or xpipe, catback and a CAI. ANd of course some nice tires. I would not swap the solid axle, there are some good IRS beef up pieces coming out now, and it handles and rides so much better its not worth...

    I agree, Im never paying more then 300 or 400 above invoice for a new car again, if I can't get the deal I won't buy it :) Looks like I'll be waiting a while, probably all for the better tho!

    Yep, thats basically my line of thinking. Plus im curious to see how VVT is implented in the Mustangs, as well as the new interior looks pretty nice. One of my biggest gripes about the current gen of Mustangs is the horrid shifter placement, and that seems to be have been remedied.

    I'm just curious, what kind of pricing are you looking at for a pretty well loaded GT? Were you able to haggle them off MSRP (no way am I paying MSRP or even more for a car that is mass produced). I'm selling my Cobra and looking at a 05 GT (I love the Cobra, but I want a N/A motor again...

    Could be anywhere between 400-420. Check my sig for my dyno, that was w/o a FIPK.

    I would say skip the Mach 1 chin spoiler and get a 03 Cobra front and rear bumper, they look excellent compared to the stock. Plus I doubt it's that expensive.

    Nah thats silly. I broke in my car the way I want to drive it, it runs absolutely PERFECT at 8300 miles, and made 415rwhp on a dyno with a catted h pipe, catback, K&N air filter and thats it for power mods.

    I personally would not do it. I wish I had kept my GT, the 03 Cobra is ****ING BADASS, but is not worth the extra cost to me IMO, for how little i can actually make use of all the power on the streets.

    Yeah, people with CAI vs stock airbox seem to have more torque. I think I picked up some ponies from the MRT-H which gave me the higher then usual. Either that or the dyno was high, or I just have a strong car. I wasn't expecting more then 370rwtq with my mods so thats fine by me. Torque...

    I could never chop up the roof of this car to put a sunroof on, that would be sacrilegde! Besides, its still not the same :D By the way the 01 Cobra vert is still lighter then the 03 Cobra coupe.

    2003/2004 Cobra's

    The computer and the catalytic converters are different, I dont think much else is. And you can have your comptuer updated to the 04 program (prevents the stall).
