    blah, car tries to die?

Uh-Oh. You didn't crack your intake putting those longer screws in there, did you? If you didn't tighten them in all the way, that humming sound was air getting sucked in between the upper plenum and intake. I know this is stupid, but try disconnecting your battery and reset everything, then...

    blah, car tries to die?

Why did your dad change out the screws holding your plenum down?

    Engine Pic?

That helps. Thanks. I had oil drips on the oil pan bolts that are all the way in the back in front of the tranny. No oil above the pan, though. I guess my front-cover leak dripped the oil onto the top ridge of the oil pan and it ran all the way to the back and down??? WTF...

    Engine Pic?

I searched for engine picture/pics, but I can't find what I'm looking for. Can someone post a picture of the driver's side of a 4.6 2V engine out of the car. I'm trying to locate an oil leak. I need an up close shot of the bottom of the block from the front cover to the back between the...

Someone want to chime in on this? I'm just curious.

    Question about throw-out bearing??

Take the little cover off the transmission where the cable goes in and shoot some lithium grease up in there. That fixes mine. It's sealed off between there and the clutch, so don't worry about greasing your clutch.

    Pulley Install

I didn't have any instructions. Someone else did the install and I decided to fix it myself. I put mine in 5th. I just figured the damn motor would spin in anything else?

    Pulley Install

This exact thing happened to me this week. I just pulled the pulley off and put it back together (with a new bolt!) and I'm not going to start it until tomorrow to give the RTV some time to set up. If you start it up right away while the RTV is still wet, won't the oil seep through it again...

Here is my dyno sheet...check out the A/F!

I would not drive that car any more than you have to until you get it tuned again. If you get some bad gas or a hiccup in your fuel line for any reason, you'll have holes in your pistons.

I need some insight on an oil leak!

Hell, as far as diagnosing it, you guys told me where to look. I think the crank pulley bolt is leaking now. He told me he put silicone on the key on the crank and the bolt. I can't win. :rlaugh:

Did I run out of the cheap mods?

:( Same thing happened to me just today. Pulleys were actually the last thing I did. Does anybody know where I can get a "buy one get one free" deal on cams and headers? :rlaugh:

I need some insight on an oil leak!

Leak fixed! One of the guys that did the swap pulled the front cover and put all new gaskets in and put a set of Steeda U/D pulleys on it for a nominal fee. He gave me a break since he worked on it the first time. Thanks for all the help and guidance. :nice:

    Please help troubleshoot my problem.

When you say "past due" on that fuel filter, do you mean it's never been changed in 47,000 miles? If so, change it. For like 10 bucks and twenty minutes, it's worth a try. I had an S-10 truck with 80,000 miles and I never changed the fuel filter. It got so bad that it felt like turning the...

    March or Steeda pulleys?

March is a piggyback type which means the crank pulley bolts to your existing pulling creating a lot of problems with mis-alignment and vibration. The Steeda actually replaces the entire crank pulley with theirs. I have never heard anyone say they've had problems with Steeda.

Ok then. Thanks again for the help. I'm going to visit one of the guys that did the swap tomorrow. We'll see what he has to say.
