    Oh, i must have missed the whole chrome part. Well i guess if you compare chrome to black it would make a difference becasue of the different coatings, right? Minimal though.

    Agreed! dont be afraid of the LS1. Most LS1 cars at my track are light bolt on cars still stuck in the mid 13's. A h/c/i fox will murder that! There are a few very fast built LS1's, but theres always foxes that are just as quick, if not quicker. This is just my experience at my track though.

    I personally think you should be able to walk on him pretty good if he doesnt spray. Ive beaten a few LS1's at the track and i have a convertable with an automatic too. Maybe they werent the best of drivers, but i wasnt impressed with all the hype about them.

    I used to have 285 series BFG street tires on an 8.5" wheel. Fit without modifications, but would rub if you go too fast over a bumb or something. Although the 275 series drag radials i put on next were wider than the 285's. :shrug:

    i think these look pretty good! Yes im going to be using the VHT nightshades and smoking the stock lenses. I think 3 coats and then some clear should do it?

    AOD faster that 5speed?

    Stock for stock the 5sp will rape an AOD. A stock AOD has shift points at like 4800. On the other hand i think my AOD with a 3200 converter, shift kit, and rear gears has and will beat some 5sp cars.
