How can i verify what gear my car has?

Unless he also has a Tremec, I'd bet the 1st gear ratios are slightly different, which would account for the different feeling.

How can i verify what gear my car has?

Yeah, I'd would jack up the back, put the car in neutral, and spin the tires. First make a mark on the driveshaft, or just watch it. Count how many revolutions the tires make to get one revolution out of the driveshaft. Make sure both tires are spinning at the same rate. This should not be a...

Speedometer has mind of it's own, needle jumping....

Pull out the cable, see how the teeth look. Then check on replacing the cable, and maybe the gear. If it is the gear inside the tranny, you have to pull the tranny apart.

Ram flywheel and SPEC clutch on a 351W?????

I have the Ram flywheel, and a SPEC stage 2/3 hybrid disc. It really should clear. That note, I was told, was for really old clutches that had very large hub springs. I have had no problems with mine as far as flywheel to clutch clearance issues. I also used ARP 12 pt flywheel bolts. I did...

    roller rockers?

You have roller lifters, but not roller rockers. Lifters are in the center of the motor, and touch the cam. Rockers are on top of the heads, and touch the valves. Lifters push on rockers with the pushrod. As simple as I could put it so there is no confusion.

    dyno day.... arghhh!

Then you know it has way way too much fuel. Who setup the fuel system? How is it setup? I'm sure this is where your problem is. What kind of MAF, and what size injectors is it calibrated for? If it is Pro-M, it should have the calibration written on it.

    dyno day.... arghhh!

How are you controling the fuel? Is it just the injectors, or do you have an FMU? Very strange results. Need attention quick. My Ranger puts out those number. Anyway, how do your plugs look? And what heads are you running? I'm guessing stock.

Not sure, but you may get faster help by calling a Ford dealership and asking them what that part number is for. Hopefully someone will post an answer for you. Good luck.

New Electrical Problem, Radio Works, but NO sound!! AHHHH

I just checked tmoss' FAQ page. Thnis diagram may be of some help: http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/engine/images/mustangFoxLights-Radio_diag.gif I shows what some of the wire colors are for the radio. Maybe you could cross reference those with the ones I gave you above. Don't rely on...

New Electrical Problem, Radio Works, but NO sound!! AHHHH

First off. The colors for the speakers on the radio harness are gray, white, green, and purple. These are not the colors in the Mustang. These are the colors for the wires coming out of the radio. The you have red, yellow, black, and blue. The wires are for 12v switched power, 12v constant...

    Crazy dream...can it be done?

Well, from my dyno program you should get around 1800hp. Yeah, I think the Mustangs body can handle that with no problem. :rlaugh: That would be so much fun! Oh, and it has to be a daily driver.

New Electrical Problem, Radio Works, but NO sound!! AHHHH

You may have a factory amp that you need to bypass. Most of the time on a Mustang, you can find another harness deeper in the dash that should work. The amp should be in the dash somewhere. How did you do the install? Did you use a plug in harness, or did you cut the wires?

Brand new 2 months old 100amp powermaster alternator bad?

I don't remember which wire it is, but there is a wire that essentially turns on the alternator. Maybe it is bad, so the alternator is not charging. I had that happen once. The wire became disconnected behind the dash, so my alternator stopped charging. It would test fine, just not charge. So...

Brand new 2 months old 100amp powermaster alternator bad?

What was the voltage reading? How long have you run the car sice you noticed this? You may have just somehow killed the voltage meter. Or it could have been a freik coincidence.

Realistically, what would i need for a JYTT to work??

Get a Pro-M blow thru meter. This is different from the style of meter that is currently on the car. Then I'd run an intank 255 pump at least. Maybe add a T-Rex inline. Mount the turbos, and intercool it. 42lb injectors should due. Oh, and you will probably need a dyno tune. Or you could risk...

    What the F#$K

The clutch needs to be adjusted. It should grab half way thru its travel, not near the floor. Tighten up the cable, and you should be happy with how it performs. The clutch should not be toast yet. Edit: I doubt the tranny is shot. If it was low on fluid, it would still shift. But it would...

Would ported GT40 intake be too big for stock heads?

If it starts, then immediately stalls, then the throttle blade needs to opened up a bit. Turn the idle set screw a bit at a time until it will start and run without the IAC.

Bulletproof T-5 Who is making them??? plus pics of my stang

The only con is the loud gear whine in first, second, and third gear. The pro is, this thing seams to like powershifting. It's like it doesn't want to be shifted any other way. I just got the gear kit. You can also get an upgraded main shaft, and they now offer bronze shift forks. All I can...

    Power Increase w/ 3" Exhaust

I don't think a 3" exhaust will help you out much. I think with different heads and cam, then you will need the flow. What cam are you running, I didn't see it listed. Maybe someone else will post more information, unless the Neon posts have given you a bad name.
