    haven't ran engine in a while ..?

Thanks for the replies! It's been more then a couple of months, maybe 6+. I'd like to not pull the distributor out or re-time the engine. I've been doing body work and the gas tank has been removed, so I will have to rig up a gas can for starting it.

    haven't ran engine in a while ..?

I have a '66 Mustang coupe 302 converted to '91 mustang EFI. What do I need to do in order to start the engine to prevent any damage from not starting it in a long time? It's been more then several months since i have turned the engine over and started the car, as I've been working on the...

wheelhouse - How do you clean?

No, I'm going to POR-15 the surface rust. How do I clean the black area inside the wheelhouse which looks like 30+ years of caked dirt, tar, etc. It grinds but it takes forever... I was hoping there's something that will break it down so I could scrape it off, because right now it is hard as...

wheelhouse - How do you clean?

Apart from buying a sandblaster, how do you clean a wheelhouse that looks like this? I'm in the process of doing the quarter panels on my '66 and I'd like to POR-15 the inside of the wheelhouse as well. Using a grinder seems to work but just is going to take quite a while. I'm curious...

+1 ...you can't have 6cyl syspension with an 8cyl setup = not safe! And just upgraded springs is not adequate enough.

    1965 Mustang rust repair

After this point, can you share what you do to the metal to prevent rust before painting? I see slight surface rust on the new patch - do you sand it down completely, wipe off with wax & degreaser, and then epoxy prime?

Quarter Panel Skins & paint questions..

My quarter panel skins for my '66 Mustang coupe should be here this coming week, along with the trunk drop-offs that I ordered. I decided to take off the bumper, valance, end-caps and I'm starting to wonder if I'll be able to change the trunk drop offs being that I am using skins instead of full...

    Welds rusting

Thanks! I will take out the windshield and do it right... now I know next time that you have to either use epoxy or POR15 to properly seal it. Ever used epoxy from a can for these smaller jobs?

    Welds rusting

I did the cowl vent repair about 3 years ago, and it appears the welds are rusting. I'm curious of two things, how did this happen (so I can be proactive for future projects) - and how should I go about fixing it? I used 3M weld-thru primer on the underside parts that had to be welded where I...

    '05 Mustang Radio not working

Radio was working fine yesterday, parked the car in the drive about at noon and it sat overnight. It got about in the 40's last night here in SA TX so thats not too cold but when I got in the car this morning, the radio station indicated 590am no volume, and turning the volume knob did nothing...

    Export brace install

I sanded down the paint lightly (don't make it smooth) to find where the spotwelds were. Then I used Eastwoods spotweld remover to remove the welds. Rocked the piece back and forth (to break it loose) in case you don't cut all the way through -it's not tough. EW 3/8in Double Ended Spot...

    T-5 Conversion, Cable Clutch Issues....

How does it feel when you press in on the clutch with the stock fork? How do you have your cable routed through the engine bay? I remember having my cable routed and it was causing it to bind (even though it really didn't look like it would) and that makes it extremely hard to press in, and...

    Window Bounce back

+1, fixed my problem. I had to hold the button to roll up the passenger side and it wouldn't automatically roll up. Plus when you opened and closed the door it would auto-down but would not auto-up into the seal. I've had these sporadic window problems for a while where I roll both up and the...
