    04' 4.6L into a 67 coupe...

    I'm putting a 4.6 dohc in my 67 coupe. I'm using the complete drivetrain from a 2003 Cobra. The DOHC is wider than the 2V but they are both very wide. I wouldn't do this swap again. If I had used a 351 based stroker it would cost less and I would probably have the car finished by now.

    I'm a big Milwaukee fan. The others mentioned are good too. You'll never regret buying quality tools. Just don't go cheap and buy one at Harbor Freight. It probably won't last through the first head.

    I had rust in nearly every panel except the roof. I probably could have paid more upfront for a rust free project and saved money in the long run. After a 3 year build I decided all future projects would start as rust free as possible. What ever rust you can see is just the tip of the iceburg.

    TKO600 install

    I installed mine with the drop trans mount first. The angle looked so bad I pulled it right back out and raised the trans tunnel 1.5". Everything lines up nicely now. If I were to do it again I would not hesitate to raise the trans tunnel.

    I have the same welder and love it. It easy easy to learn and use. I use it on sheet metal and structural stuff. Definiately get a tank and use gas. The flux core wire is messy.

    I have done this to my two 65s and added the passenger side to my 67 (67 only came with driver's side). I have seen first hand measureable improvement while on a rotisserie and highly recommend the mod.

    I'd buy that for $500 in an instant. Be careful if you plan to try to make money with it. It often takes more to restore it than it's worth when finished. You could probably flip it for $1000 or more without doing anything. If you have time and skills and want to build it for yourself have fun...
