    It seems that the service people are looking at the types and numbers of mods made on this Mustang, and are assuming that if the owner has made such mods, they must also be abusing the car (dragging, racing, etc). I am not saying that the owner is actually doing that, or that such reasoning...

    When I bought my '03 under the x-plan, it was 4% plus $150 above a-plan or employee price; not above invoice. At least for me, those x-plan numbers came out to being about the same as invoice. Plus, I still then got the then-current rebates subtracted off the x-plan price too. True...

    Wasn't "no accessories", stuff like no water pumps, no alternators, and no muffers??? Basically, just the raw engine. Today, it is more like "as installed".

    Are those HP ratings using two different methods? I mean, the way manufacturers rated HP back in the 1960's resulted in unrealistic numbers which were way too high when compared to the way HP is rated today. No? :shrug:

    Stainless Steel Inserts I went with Stainless Steel insert letters on my Dark Shadow Gray. I bet they will look equally nice on a Black Mustang too.

    Rear Quarter Windows in a coupe

    You might need to take into account that the rear seat in a convertible is smaller than that in a coupe. This is because the interior rear side trim panels are "thicker" to make more room for the top mechanism, and I bet, the side window mechanism too.

    The 3.8 has already been replaced with the 3.9, as a mid-year 2004 change. It still surprises me on how quitely that was done. Even Mustang watchers, and the BON rumor mill, didn't know until they were found on dealer's lots.

    Since we just speculating, why not as an optional upgrade to the base V6? Kind of like the old GTS model niche. Matter of fact, at 250HP, it would more powerful than the 5.0L (that had just 215HP??) offered on the old '95 GTS model.

    Glad it work out so easy for you. However, your experience is quite different from all the other reports I have read about installing a STB. Those reports detailed just how difficult it was for them to drill and tap all the holes on just the towers. They claimed some other under-hood items...
