The Cobra meter is specific to the Cobra. Its transfer function is similar to the stock 5.0 meter, but not the same. So it will sort of work on a stock 5.0, but it won't run right.
Yeah, I've done it a couple of times. I have a tubular k-member (helps), a 7 quart Moroso pan (doesn't help), and a scattershield (doesn't help). You should be able to do it with a stock pan and k-member. You'll have to pull the steering rack loose from the k-member and steering shaft.

NMRA dropped the weight break for DRs in the Real Street (9 second cars) class. Wonder why? They work just as good or better than ET Streets, when used properly.
That being said, ET Streets are more forgiving and easier to use.
The X3Z is basically the same EEC as the A9L just with different tuning. If anything it would be even more manual trans specific since it was the 93 Cobra EEC.
In my experience, this is just another internet rumor. Pin 30 goes to the neutral safety switch on autos and the clutch switch on...
Can you explain why? I'm pretty familiar with 5.0 efi wiring and I don't see anything that would cause this. I ran a 5-speed EEC (X3Z) in an AOD car with no problems a few years ago.
Trap speed relates to horsepower. ET doesn't directly correlate to horsepower because it's highly dependent on traction.
His 60' time is probably far better than yours. You can vary your 60 foot by several tenths and drastically affect your et but your trap speed won't change much.
I think you missed my point. 381 ft-lbs at 5100 rpm is 370 hp at 5100 rpm. Mathematical fact. But he says it peaks at 344 at 5650.
Plus, an auto with a 2600-3000 rpm convertor isn't going to cause a torque spike at 5100 rpm.
The numbers just don't add up. It's about time to...
If the port job on your heads and intake is REALLY good and you have 11:1 compression, I could believe that much power through a 5-speed. But not through an AOD. I think that dyno reads high.
In case you didn't know, Beau at Mental Addiction can get you good deal on the gauges to go with the gauge plate. Buy it all from him and he'll give you a great package deal.
Funny how nobody has bothered to actually answer your question!
For stock heads you need pedestal mount rockers. Ford, Crane, TFS, and Scorpion are all good rockers.
The 60 series (28") usually hooks better because it has more sidewall. But, it'll hurt your gear ratio. At 110 mph with 3.73s, a 26" tire is your best bet. You don't want less gear.
