    1250 felbro gasket with egr valve

    Felpro 1250 intake gaskets? Yes, I had to use them with my AFRs. Gaskets had a hole for EGR passages in the heads, already in them though. :shrug:

    Coolant leaking into engine!

    Just looked around on there and didnt see anything about it being RWHP... :shrug: Also, if you ran 14.48@ 96.2 MPH and the calculator said you had 229 HP, I would venture a guess its not only accurate but that its flyhweel HP, and here's why. I have a Car and Driver here from 1989...

    Is this thing making RWHP calcs? OR Flywheel HP???? IF Flyhweel, I say its damn close... I punched in the best ET my car has ever ran to date, which was a 13.11 @ 102.74 and I used car weight with me as 2975 LBs [saying my car is 2700 LBs, where I think it was 2800 then with iron heads etc]...

    Try and find out what compression pistons he used, because if he put the 302 heads on, chances are it lost some compression cause the chambers in the 289 are smaller if i remember correctly... :shrug:

    If the 289 heads were infact ported and gone through, then just put some new seals in.. You might surprise yourself. Toss an 8.8 in there with some 4.10 gears, bolt on some ET Drags, and go to the track.. you might just come home not wanting to touch a thing.

    If it were a bad enough exhaust leak that the 02 sensors werent reading proper...but still doubt it would cause a condition like you have. What coil are you running?

    What plugs are you running? And does anything look amiss with them when you pull them out? :shrug: Never had good luck getting Bosch Platinum plugs to work in these cars.. Would always get a light miss about 4500 RPM when more than 3/4s throttle... But wasnt as bad as what you are...

    Nope, I dont think the speed density cars had knock sensing capability in the ECM... & so no knock sensor. I know my car dont have one [89.. MAF]
