    Did I steal these?

Got bored at work cause there aint **** to do, and ended up finding a set of front mach 1 seats at a local junk yard. Picked em up in good shape $400 for the pair and I'm loving them! Difference is night and day! I know I know, I'll try to get some pics but currently at work so I'll see what...

    *#$@&ing Control Arm Bolts!

Are they loose and you are trying to get them to slide out of the hole? You didnt specify front or rear, but is there any weight/push/pull on the control arm? If so, try moving it around to take any pressure off the bolt. If you have done everything and it just wont move, you'll need to heat...

    aode to t5/t45 swap

Off the top of my head, aside from the obvious would include driveshaft, harness, more than likely a computer so you will need to have the keys programmed and who knows what else. Probably not worth it.

Stang Wont Start, Need Help PLEASE

If it will only start with lighter fluid (I wouldnt keep doing this), its a fuel issue. You're cranking, and its not getting fuel. A code will ONLY set that fast most of the time if its a wiring issue. My advice is first before you dig in too much or throw more parts at it, check your fuses...

Do i need a tune with a 75 wet shot?

I dont *think* its required, but it is recommended. A wet kit is supposed to add the correct amount of fuel for the nitrous being injected, but it certainly wouldnt hurt to make sure its being done correctly. A dyno tune is far cheaper than an engine.

    Hawk Front pads install ?

The only "technical" reason to open the bleeder when pushing the piston back is to keep any dirty/old fluid from being pushed back into the system. When changing pads, you never even need to touch it. Like the others said, simply use a c-clamp, large channel lock plyers or a dedicated tool and...

    Blown and blown up 4.6

+1 You really dont have much of a choice anyway. Its really not that difficult if you have the right tools and know your way around a car. A mustang engine is also quite easy to pull compared to most. If you know how to unplug connectors and remove some nuts and bolts you basically know...

opinions on a 3 link suspension

Read up on MM's tech about their 3 link, its VERY informative. From what I understand from it, number one the upper and lower control arms are trying to do too many things at one time; locating the axle vertically and laterally, so they bind. The panhard bar locates the axle and minimizes...

    Coilover Questions

If I remember right, alot of people have advised against almost if not all anything from granatelli... Going with anything other than the best especially for something like a k member would be a really bad idea. Also agree with tony; go with the same company.

how do the 99-04GTs stack up to the lightning?

Stock, they might not be too hot, but just like a cobra a few boltons later and they get pretty quick. Rode in one last summer that had pulley, tune, exhaust, intake and it would deffinately get out of its own way. It might be heavy, but it has a torque happy motor which of course = traction...

PI Heads vs Ford Racing Cylinder Heads

They are the same heads. And they are the same heads that the 99-04 2v's were equipped with. The are a performance cylinder head in comparrison to the 96-98 NPI heads. PI heads flow better than the NPI heads, and slightly bump the compression due to the redesigned combustion chamber. The...

    Need help with drivetrain noise.

Hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction. I have a metal-metal type rattle noise, sometimes its almost like a grind. I have had the car on the lift at work, and I have pinpointed the noise to be coming from the bellhousing area. It does not matter if its hot or cold...

    Automatic to manual...NOT a swap

+1 I totally agree. If you race often auto is more ideal IMO cause its more consistent. Pertaining to your question, if I were in your shoes I'd just go with a tune/shift kit and stall. I'm not too aware of what the benefit of a shifter would be without a manual valve body. Thinking...

Debating swap to SLP exhaust from Flowmaster...any thoughts appreciated

I used to be in the same situation. I got my car bone stock, and always liked the sound of flows so a few months after I got it, I put the flowmaster catback on it; sounded good, not loud enough. Changed mid-pipes twice, over the next year or so and ended up with an o/r h and I was happy, for...

BF Goodrich KDW IIs in cold weather a no-no?

I drove in my BFG KDW's ALL WINTER LONG last year. Yes, they suck in the snow...basically useless dont even try it. They do fine in cold weather just dont jump it too hard. Driving normal and you'll have no problems. I saw no accelerated wear from driving in the cold. Regardless, I drove on...

    bad times ahead

Yea, really. Too bad america as a whole is really quick to just point fingers and say "well that didnt work, obviously we need the opposite". America itself got all of us into this mess. Whoever thought an ARM or "interest-only" mortgage was a good idea is an idiot. Maybe the ARM you could...

The day we thought would never come!!!

+1 There are many different head designs out there. Port flow alone doesnt make it a good performer. The shape and design of the chamber plays a major role in the actual combustion itself. The hemi heads for example were very good at making power, they just suck at emissions.
