    Rebuilt a steering box?

So the 19:1 is about 4 turns and the 16:1 about three? I don't understand anything about those ratios. What do they mean? I know that the R&P on my 02 gives me three turns lock to lock and is extremely responsive, but the steering box on my 73 feels like steering a boat. I'm restoring a 68 FB...

Fortunately the motor got jammed yesterday evening, the dealer was closed already, just decided to take it off so I could go this morning and get the new motor, I'm glad I didn't need to.

    Power window motor

Well, I did figure out how to remove the motor after all, and it´s not hard at all, all you need to do is remove the three small bolts that hold the motor to the regulator, and loosen the two front nuts that hold the regulator to the door; that will give you enough room to get the motor out. The...

Also, if its higher the whole lenght of the hood, try lowering the hood latch a little as well.

    Got to align my hood.

If I remember well, there have been several posts asking this. What you need to do is loosen the front bolt on the hood hinge and push down until it aligns. The hinge will pivot on the rear bolt. Sounds weird, but they say it works.

    Cracked Shock Towers

You need at least grade 8 bolts, if you just get the hardware stuff, pretty soon your car will have cracks all over, not just the tower. :D Just get a new tower, they're about 120 bucks. Takes longer but is a far better fix. Take your time cutting up the old tower, it's not that hard.

1968 GT fastback or Porsche 911?

Buy me a plane ticket and I´ll do it for free. :D Those kits are actually easier to install than a stock suspension. It´s "harder" to remove the original suspension than it is to install the new one. Plus, they come with instructions. :nice:
