    I agree that the z28 would win with slicks but not on street tires. The bet I ever saw one run is a 13.5 and 5.5 to 60. That means it will like ly be a toss up on without slicks.

    mp67, japanese cars have not always been high quality. The 70's and early 80's cars were good on gas but total crap. Look around and see how many you still see. Of the ones you find ask the owner how many rust holes he had fixed.

    When the 05 is released, peak travel season is over and gas prices will be way lower then the projected highs this summer. Dont bet on gas creating artificial discounts on the new mustang.

    I think he is quoteing the MSRP that Ford is giving dealers in their seminar. I also heard this price at the Baltimore autoshow during the presentation.
