Will a Tweecer be able to tune my 414 c.i.?

I'd stick with the factory PCM and go with a Quarterhorse and a COMPETENT tuner. The tuner will make your car a dream or living hell. Your combo is not that crazy so the factory PCM is more than capable in the right hands! Wes

    Nitto 555 wider than Sumitomo's

My experience has always been that the Nitto *drag radials* run narrower than a similarly sized tire. Especially narrower than the Sumitomo. Wes

Long-Tube headers. Can the 02's read properly WITHOUT aftermarket computer?

If you have a tuner around you that can datalog and has a loaded dyno I would duplicate the issue on the dyno and see what is going on. Reading your symptoms it sounds like a problem in how the vehicle is tuned for the injectors. I would not think it is O2s. Likely just poor a calibration. Wes

car is tuned... still having issues

P.S. The fix is making sure the fueling is correct at idle and making sure the neutral and DRIVE idle airflow functions are setup correctly. Wes

car is tuned... still having issues

I'd take it back to the tuner. Your combo is far too mild to have problems. I have tuned 80lb injectors on cars that idle at 750rpm. Most cars nowadays run 60s. The injectors are fine and can be accounted for in the tune. :D Wes

    Got the car dyno'd today...

That is super extremely stout for a MustangDyne! How's it do at the track? Where was the wideband in the exhaust? Wes

    dr. jekyl and mr hyde.

I'm with Grady. That combo HAS to have a tune if you expect it to run good at cruise, startup etc. Without tuning the warm cranking is going to be extremely rich regardless of what you do as the tricked MAF cannot compensate there. Wes

another 302 trying to get to 300hp...tell me how close im getting

Short circuit the whole deal and put a blower on it. :-) Wes

    Howling Intake /Throttle body

Sounds like a potential vacuum leak. Fix the leak and both problems might go away. Wes

    Rough Idle

I would take it back if it has done that since the tune. The car should drive like stock or better after it is dynotuned! Wes

New Track Times/Dyno #s from the Daily Driver

Stock kit lower pulley. Spraying meth before and after the supercharger - spraying before gives about a 2psi increase. Peak boost measured around 6300rpm on the dyno. On a cold day it's pegged the SCT BA2400 meter. :D Also running stock cam which doesn't bleed off boost like a cam with overlap...

New Track Times/Dyno #s from the Daily Driver

I keep saying that... it keeps taking a beating EVERY single day. I really think a good tune and maintenance goes a LOOONG way towards keeping a motor together. They won't stand up to much if any detonation with high cylinder pressures but keep things on the up and up and you'll be happy...

    spark plug gap-

I run 0.026-0.028 on all our setups. In testing I couldn't find any gains on the dyno going to a larger gap. A spark is a spark. Wes

New Track Times/Dyno #s from the Daily Driver

Thanks, I've tried to keep it a simple setup since it's the daily driver. Car has never let me down in four years of driving, can't complain at all about that! Wes

New Track Times/Dyno #s from the Daily Driver

Took the ole' daily driver out to the track a few weekends ago for the shakedown runs since adding a meth kit. Dyno video 476/444tq @ 6000 476hp / 444tq @ 15.5psi / 6000rpm on Flickr - Photo Sharing! Track nite was just over 1800' density altitude. Busy night so I only got two runs, first was...

    Megasquirt

Since I last posted I am now heavily into tuning. After working with MegaSquirt and aftermarket standalones (BS3, FAST, etc) I would rather pay the cash up front for a solid solution and not tinker with the MegaSquirt. Making a comparison to a twEECer is apples and oranges. Factory PCM vs...

Opinions MAF on a 94' Cobra

I'm a fan of opening up the intake tract all the way if you are going to do it. Make sure your components flow the same air all the way through. I would suspect most gains from mass airs are from running the cars a little leaner than the factory's fairly rich calibration. Wes

    Most Miles On A 94?

151,000 miles and 16-17psi on the stock bottomend. Driven and abused every day. :) Wes

    CBAZA!

You'll hit the transient fueling after your establish a solid MAF curve in steady state. I shoot for no more than 3% variation all the way up. Once that is squared away you'll verify your manifold volume is correct and then work on the transients. Transient fueling is complicated but in a...

    CBAZA!

Post up any specific questions that you've got that you can't find the answer to over on eectuning.org. CBAZA is a bit of a redheaded stepchild. It was the stepping stone from the super simple Fox PCMs to the EECV and beyond stuff. That being said, most of the stuff (especially the concepts)...
