    What wiring harness?

I just looked through our catalogues from both metra and scosche and there isn't anything listed to wire from a Mach460 wiring harness to any aftermarket HU I've always understood that this isn't possible because of a number of conflicts with the amp and speaker impedance from the Mach system

    estimate on install for springs

you shouldn't pay more than about $140 it's about a 1.5-2hr job and most shops charge about $60-70/hr.

targa top conversion for 94-04 coupes

We've had this discussion a few times but I'll reiterate the issues for you: - Yes it looks cool - It will NOT cost you $1k to do this unless you work in a body shop - It WILL cost you closer to $4k because of all of the stuff that will have to be made right because your car will not fit...

    will cams help my car

don't bother doing cams unless you're willing to get the springs that they will need and getting your car tuned afterwards... Why would you do something to your nearly new $25k+ car without doing it in a way that will keep your motor safe?

Air Silencer - What is it? Where is it? How do I remove it?

It's a little rubber horn looking thing that is attached to your air box. Follow the air intake off the plenum toward the front of your car just behind the passenger side headlight. Simply unscrew the little bolt that is attaching the air box to the fenderwall, remove the airbox, bend the lip...

Hey guys. Friend has a stock 97 GT. What can we do to it?

the silencer is pretty much the only "free-bee" and it doesn't really give you much. If he could find some used PI heads...maybe off of a salvage 99+ GT he could wake it up A LOT for not a lot of $. Obviously the cheapest big improvement he could do is to put some 3.73s or 4.10s into the...

    Looking to order some LCA's...recommendations

be careful about getting cheap ones because you need to make sure you don't have any suspension bind... I am partial to Steeda...their Aluminum Weight Jacker LCAs are just about the best on the market for my money, but their standard Aluminum LCAs are probably perfect for your application.

putting in a new forged block

My mustang will be getting a Modular Performance big-bore aluminum block some time in the next year or so. I just need to wait until I get another vehicle so that I can afford to have the stang not working for a couple weeks. I suggest that you save your money and get family/friends to come...

What will a 70MM THROTTLE BODY give me?

don't waste your money...save up and get a ported & polished bullit intake. You won't feel any difference in your car with the 2-3 hp you'll get from the throttle-body and probably still won't even feel it if you get the plenum to go with it. Don't nickel and dime your car...save your...

Taking the stang on a road trip, any tips??

I suggest a plastic drop-cloth for your sister's seat... I have the same rule in my cars but my fiance insists on food/drinks on long trips, so I made her buy a plastic sheet to protect from her messes...and it has saved me from a few half-full sodas and a piece of chocolate cake from...

Z Rated vs V Rated Tires

If you are looking for great Z rated tires with very good tread-life the Goodyear Eagle F1s are the way to go. If you tires are going bald after only a year you are either driving A LOT of miles or you aren't paying attention to correct maintenance schedules (rotation and alignment) and air...

Is it required to swap valve springs when swapping cams?

you should probably do it...it isn't that expensive and while you're doing the cam swap it just makes sense.

    Seat Belt Mod

Yeah, it says you shouldn't use it in excess of 50mph. I wonder if you couldn't just remove the stock unit completely. Then install three of the four points in a four point harness. It would meet DOT requirements for a three-point restraint system in the front seats, it wouldn't bind or...

    What does PI mean?

There are a bunch of companies out there that have internals kits. Personally I like Steeda's rotating assembly kit because of how complete it is, but there are plenty of others on the market. Generally you want new pistons, rings, rods, studs, gaskets, bearings, oil pump, and crank. You...
