Where did all the coolant go?

I got the belts all off, tried to loosen the pulley bolts, but the pulley spinned. Whats the best way to hold pulley still?

Where did all the coolant go?

Delray, could you give me a little more info on replacing the water pump. I know I have good mix of antifreeze and water in the block, but starting to get worried about the radiator still. I have a Chiltons and Haynes, what do i need to pull the pulley off of the pump?

Where did all the coolant go?

Don't know if this is good or bad news, but I filled it up with water and its leaking at the very front of the engine at the bottom. I'm guessing thats probably the water pump.

Where did all the coolant go?

Tonight I was driving around and noticed the engine smelled hot and the temp gauge was going way too high. By the time I got home it was starting to make some clicking while accelerating. The radiator and reservoir were completely empty. I have not noticed any fluid on garage floor, but my...

    Changed the plugs/wires @ 99000

Had a small miss when idling at a stoplight or stopsign, so figured it was a plug or wire that was amiss. Love how easy these 2.3's are to work on. Autolite 764's and Bosch plug wires. Got to love having lifetime warranty plug wires when you have had a car for almost 17 yrs.

Replaced battery and still won't start

I have a friend with a 2001 Convertible. The other day it acted like it wanted to die, but made it home. They took out the battery had it checked and it was bad, replaced battery and it still doesn't want to start. It tries to turn over, but doesn't start. I am guessing maybe clogged...

    Smoked Light Covers???

Tinted tail lights just give reason for someone to rear end you and say they didn't see your brake lights. Tinted headlight covers diminish your sight in the dark and cause you to hit things due to not enough time to react. Oh yea, people like to steal these off cars too. If you do it for...

    Why?? (pics)

I recently helped a friend detail his car so he could sell it.. I removed the cell phone antennae to find that all the wiring for the Qualcom phone was still in place. I found the phone mount stuffed behind the console and another black box under the passenger floorboard. I finally had to stop...

    Autozone battery replacement

This is way off topic, but to keep my Stang battery all warmed up, especially during the Winter when I don't drive it much. I use a battery tender. It plugs in and keeps the battery on a slow trickle when it needs it. Also keeps the batter from going bad by keeping it warm.
