    radar detectors....and car alarms....

Yes I agree it is a tool. I know that a ticket costs money but a radar detector, no matter how correctly used, does not guarantee getting no ticket. I'm just stating that by driving wisely will go a lot further than depending on an electrical unit that can potentially fail. There will always...

Hit and Run, what should I do?

You could change your deductible but in the long run it will cost you more. Plus you have already talked to your agent and if you change your deductible then go back and claim it, they have a duty to the insurance company. It could be considered fraud and you would probably have SIU (Special...

Hit and Run, what should I do?

Being a claim adjuster, pay it out of pocket. You can file a police report to state it was a hit and run in the parking lot. Insurance would look at that and see that you are serious since filing a false police report is a misdemeanor. They would have to have the burden of proof that your car...

    radar detectors....and car alarms....

I'll take that as a personal attack and leave it at that. I guess I do not understand how to use them because I don't have any experience with them. I see no reason to travel at an excessive speed and I feel that a radar detector is a waste of money. You can throw around theories/facts about...

    radar detectors....and car alarms....

I just don't see how a radar detector can save you money. By the time your car is hit with radar, laser or whatnot, the officer already has your speed. My boss is a former deputy and we have state patrol, deputies and local police stop by to chat and they all have said the same thing: you're...

    engine questions

I would also think that you would need a bigger hood. Wait, now I remember something else--people have dropped the Lightning engine in there and needed quite a cowl to cover it.

Open the hood, rev it up and see the engine move. That would be the amount the shaker would move.

    Paying for mods

I pay cash for mine. But my list is short because that is pretty much what I want to do to it. Well, I would like to supercharge it, but that's way too $$$. Plus, what you put into it you will not get out of it when you sell. Putting a $5000 blower on your car does not increase the value $5000.

    Fuel Pressure Regulator

Usually the car will smell like gas upon start-up after it has been sitting for a while. In addition, it will hesitate when trying to start.

    I'm back!

I don't know of a write-up, but there is probably one here if you search or on the Corral. Why not try to do it yourself? That way you'll see first hand what goes into it and then you will be able to fix anything that "may" go wrong in the future. Chalk it up as a learning experience.

    Cruise Control not working

One more thing, on my old car when the cruise was not working, I found a wire that had burned through. Search the wiring under the hood to see if one of them burned through or not.

    Cruise Control not working

It could be the switches on the wheel or maybe a brake or clutch switch that disengage it. Are you riding with your foot on the brake or clutch? If so, don't.

    Anyone used pacesetter products?

I had them (a cat-back) on an old car (not a Mustang), it was cheap and cheaply made. I would stay away from them and get something with more quality.
