    Stock tire on 17x9 rim??

    They do fit but nobody will convince me that the tire looks to fit the same. The side wall looks fatter when putting 245's on a 9 in rim. I changed to a 9 in R rim and in my opinion it doesn't look good but I'll deal with it until I wear this set out and go with 255 or 65's. :flag:

    Went with 17's - speedo off.

    The speedo is analog. I put the wheels/tires side by side when installing for him. The 17's looked to be about a half an inch taller. Sounds like it isn't a big deal. Maybe we'll just say the heck with it then. Thanks folks!! :flag:

    I paid 800 for my Cobra R - chromes wheels. That didn't include the tires. Who gives a ***** about the tires. I look at that as being as added bonus of the deal. Burn those off the rim and no big deal in my opinion. :flag:

    SLUSHY CLUTCH PEDAL!!

    I thought I was the only one that has had this problem!!! My 98 GT did the same exact thing as my current 04. My 04 got slushy a week after I bought it new. Nobody has a good explanation of why this happens or how to correct? Please help. This has been driving me crazy for 6 years...

    The inside of my tires burned away after installing my 1.5" drop on my old 98 4.6. And yes I did get an alignment. The alignment shop told me that I needed CC plates. Then again, I've heard lots of people say that a drop of no more than 1.5" won't require CC plates. Maybe I just had...

    I didn't just cut them off and leave it that way. :D I had the shop put straight pipe in the place of the old cats. It wasn't necessary to take the mid pipe off.....Kept the cats in the basement in case I ever needed them down the road. :flag:

    On my 98 4.6 -Cut 4 of the 6 cats off. No check engine light. Had the MIL's and never needed them. On my 04 4.6-Cut 2 of the 4 cats off. No check engine light. Just an FYI. :flag:

    If everyone is so worried about the 40's being so quiet, JUST DON"T BY THEM. Make your stang sound like a dump truck by using straight pipes or packs. :uzi: I still have a bad a.s hollow/deep/thumping sound coming from my 40's :shrug:
