    Choke adjustment

Would the choke tie into a fuel pump issue at all? It seems like it will run all day long if I keep the choke from opening all the way, which is a recent problem. I will check out the rubber sections of fuel line. I'm pretty sure I replaced all of them within the last year. I am running a...

    Choke adjustment

Fuel pump is pretty new, only about 6 months old. What should be the normal range for fuel psi when the engine is warm?

    Choke adjustment

I've been having some problems recently with it wanting to die after it warms up. Here what's been going on: I recently adjusted the valves/rocker arms after I put about 150 miles on the new cam and installed a shift kit at the same time. Took it out for a drive after this and it ran fine...

    Order of Suspension Mods

The Shelby drop only lowers the front about 1/2" or so. It does more for geometry over actually lowering the front. So you should be able to reuse the 1" drop springs without any problems. Does an alignment really cost $200 where you are? That seems crazy! I think I paid $40 for mine.

    Raleigh, NC dyno and tune?

I've heard good things about Fastlane Motorsports in Benson. It's a little bit of a hike from Raleigh though but they are mainly a Mustang shop. There is also a newer performance shop in Raleigh called Piedmont Custom Motorsports but I don't think they have a dyno. It seems like most of the...

    Torque converter

I thought about going the finned aluminum pan route too but I'm worried about clearance. It sits fairly low now and unfortunately we have speed bumps (mountains) in our neighborhood. Any idea how much lower the pan hangs down over stock?

    Torque converter

    Where would a cooler mount?

    Torque converter

Thanks for the input guys. Andre at Edge Converters doesn't seem to think I will need an additional cooler. I'm hoping that with the shift kit making the tranny more efficient that I will be ok without a cooler for now.

    want to redo rear seats

If you remove the bottom seat there should be a couple of brackets/screws that come out of the bottom of vertical seat, once you remove those screws just lift up on the seat and it should come out.

Rear brake line and dual exhaust question

Not sure if it is the same for a 68', but I ran into this problem when I went from the original single exhaust to dual exhaust on my 65'. There are different dist. blocks that mount on the rear axle depending on if the car came with single or dual exhaust. The location of the bracket for where...

    Idle problems

I'll double check the timing this weekend. Fast idle would be set in park and regular idle in gear?

    Idle problems

D.Hearne As always I really appreciate the advice! You've helped me more than once! Really glad to hear you don't think it's a wiped lobe... hopefully I can figure it out this weekend. Thanks again!

    Idle problems

If it does turn out to be a wiped cam lobe, what all does this damage when it happens? Does it normally just mess up the cam and lifters? Any other carnage I should prepare myself for if that's what happened? I hope it turns out to be something else, but bracing myself for the worst at this...

    Torque converter

I am getting ready to install a new torque converter (Edge Racing Products 2,400-2,600 stall) soon and want to know if I need to get anything other than the converter for the install. Gaskets, etc. I am also putting a Transgo Performance shift kit in at the same time. I picked up a filter and...

Another TCP G Bar exhaust picture

I guess if it's mainly going to sit in storage and go to the occasional show, handling on the road isn't much of a concern. Beautiful car though!

    Idle problems

I'm running a Pertronix Flame Thrower distributor and a Flame Thrower coil. It does have vac. advance. Vac. hose from dist. to carb is pretty new and in good shape. Vac. canister on dist. looks good, how would I check that for a leak?

    Idle problems

Could a bad coil cause this? The coil is a Pertronix Flame Thrower and only about 3 years old.
