    crouching merk, hidden intercooler

You have done a great job here. One thing you may want to think about is running the intake pipe to a 3 sided K&N equiped air box sealed to the under side of the IC. Fin direction won't matter if you are sucking air right through it via the turbo. The speed of the air being forced through the IC...

    i want a SVO

Weird as it sounds, he may not be too far off the mark. When I started looking, My wife found the first one. I found the two 86's within hours of gaining the brain capacity of an adult (brain injury from the accident put me at about 5 years old Cognitively - not much has changed there :p)...

I hung with one last year without all out effort and an extra 100 lbs on my back seat... WC T5 Tranny for my SVO. I should dyno my car before I pull out the motor. Z.

Four Cyl Fury on the cover of MM&FF

Ohhh a bubble post, I think your catching up Crovax. :nonono: The car is clean because it has a 2500+ dollar paint job on it - 4 coats of Viper Red couldn't possibly be less. Under the paint it has new fenders and doors. He put a lot of time and effort not to mention money into that car, so...

    Hey XANAX, its getting old

I have to agree. I did not say anything, well, because I didn't want to post a non contributing comment that could turn into some big argument and waste even more bandwidth. Look at my join date and post count. If you want to win something put your car in a show. Post count chasers... I just...

    Mass Air

The VAM tops out at 300 HP give or take a few. When it comes to that kind of power, switching to an SDS or MSD is usually in the cards. The beauty of the MSD swap is you don't need either the VAM or MAF at all. Z.

    05 V6 power potential

Every time I see a thread like this I just wait to see the post that brings everyone back to the reality of doing business to make money. Ford makes money building the V6... and the 2.3 through the Fox years. With Fox4 they had to bump to the 6 so there was enough torque to push the car...

$3-$4 a Gallon for Premium Gas + 18 mpg Mustang

Points are Valid SVTdriver, but I was in a hurry to get out and fix/play with my own gas powered toys. Why do I have to spell EVERYTHING out down to the most trivial detail? Is it that hard to form a logical connection by interpreting what someone writes with an open mind? If I had time to...

$3-$4 a Gallon for Premium Gas + 18 mpg Mustang

Do you even know what prototype means? How much do you think the concept mustangs cost. 30K each  If the car went into production it would MSRP for about the same as any other road car and would most likely be a 5 seater. Cost less to maintain because you don't just eliminate gas, but...

$3-$4 a Gallon for Premium Gas + 18 mpg Mustang

Ok, I'll point out that it really isn't that bad of an idea. Some are even doing a good job at it. How's this Pros 4.1 second 0 to 60 13.2 seconds in the 1/4 Gets 100 Miles on full charge going 60 miles per hour. It's only rated at 200HP TZero Cons Car looks pretty good, but not...

$3-$4 a Gallon for Premium Gas + 18 mpg Mustang

This is even more off topic than this thread has already gotten, but it brings to light the level of corruption this country is facing. Now with the slow crumbeling of our economy from jobs being sourced over seas, companies are going to get even more underhanded and greedy as people they both...

$3-$4 a Gallon for Premium Gas + 18 mpg Mustang

Non modified SVO working properly - 19/30+ 205HP Modified SVO working properly with the stock computer - 17/30+ 270HP (If you are not in the boost every second) Your milage is only going to change in WOT and city driving. Tack a 6 speed tranny on that car and you are looking at 17/35 with...

$3-$4 a Gallon for Premium Gas + 18 mpg Mustang

Just think about what people would be saying now if Ford had announced a 5000 run anniversary issue of the SVO in a 300HP Turbo I4 or Turbo I5 (Volvo) configuration for 2004 1/2. Even in the old body style and priced at 26 or 27K my guess would be a sell out of such a car before it even...

    '05 v6 200hp vs. '91 5.0 lx coupe 225hp

But what do ya'll think is the real power difference? Where does torque fit in to the equation? Your post has mixed signals, though you did say you were not interested in track performance... my bad, my post was one example of torque and power vs. 5.0 performance and the over all sound...

    2006 GT500 Mustang

This is not far off of what Ford should do, really. In fact, it should take place right around the middle of 05 even if the cars are officially designated 06's. it would be a replay of the birth of the Mustang and a perfect halo for the true Shelby Cobra. If you think a 30K GT350 or 500 would...

    '05 v6 200hp vs. '91 5.0 lx coupe 225hp

I raced an 86 GT (215HP?). We began at a 20MPH roll and he got the jump on me. I edged up and was door to door with him till about 80 when I started to edge him out. He let off before I actually passed. Don't think it was modded at all. I have 3:73's, 2.5" exhaust and a diablo. I bought my...

sub $20k V8 rumor strikes again

Cool. That clears that up... Only discrepancy I found in the info was that my GT was Shadow Blue Metallic; a color noted at the bottom as not available. I wish I had brains enough to take some pictures of that car while I had it. :( Z.

Live axel saves $300 on 2005 Stang

In 1965 Carol Shelby decided against using an IRS setup in the race version of the GT350 because it was found the solid setup could be made to handle just as well with some tuning. Now sure the IRS was 60's tech, but so was the car. Today we have this new platform that nobody here has tested and...

    why mod a V6?

It was the initial release of the Grand National and was THE real thing, but more in the form of a pace like car reproduction - all show and no go. It was black and silver, not all black and was badges as a gn. They are the rarest of them all and will cost you the same, if not more than a gnX if...
