    Pinion seal leak

    I had my 4.10's installed by the "best shop in the state, the one that works on Vipers and real Cobra R's" and my pinion seal leaked after about a month. They installed the seal dry and it wasn't leaking at the rubber seal area - it was leaking between the metal part of the seal and the housing...

    how much more hp?

    If my mechanical water pump locks up or comes apart, I'll hear it or my temp gauge will rise. If my electric fuel pump gives up under 10psi of boost, my engine gets creamed.

    Problems Caused By Manually Shifting Automatic

    Mine shifts so sweet I just put mine in "D" "Stock" was actually better than my Superchip program and my Hypertech was way better than the Superchip, but it comes nowhere near the new KB chip. The KB was almost worth buying just for perfect shift patterns...but I still like all the extra HP. :D

    Install new exhaust & less than impressed

    O/R X-pipe, SS catback with welded Dynomax "Race" Bullets - Loudest I've heard so far. Friend has a '99 Cobra with O/R H-pipe, "regular" Magnaflow weld-in mufflers and mine is probably twice as loud (or more) at WOT.

    Dumb question... what oil?

    In my area Mobil1 is 4.59 and I can get Amsoil for 4.85...so I'll gladly pay it. Based on the testing that I've seen Amsoil rates highest (Redline nearly as high) followed by Royal Purple and Mobil1.

    Anyway to keep oil splatter off valve cover from pcv area?

    If the valve is clogged, replace it - if the hose (line) is swollen, change it...and after you have those 2 items taken care of, add a hose clamp at the pcv valve connection like Ford recommends in their TSB.

    What size gears should i use?

    I was thinking the same thing, because his rpm's were getting pretty close to what my 4.10's run. And my 4.10's don't feel like too much gear, even with the KB.
