I am in the middle of restoring a '68 Coupe and just bought a 9" rear end from Currie.
The problem comes in that there is a '69 Mach 1 in the paper for cheap. Before I even look at it, will the 9" I just bought fit in the Mach 1?
Thanks to all who respond. I want to jump on this quickly.
Sounds like Snake oil. If this was sooo great, this guy would have pulled off some better experiments to back up his claims. Saying that people report better mileage, and my Metro did better doesn't mean a thing to me.
It's in such small quantities, though it can't hurt. Don't get your...
Sweet. I was looking at either the Hobart Handler 125, the Lincoln weld-pak 100, or the Clarke 130EN Mig.
Looking at other posts here, it looks like my grandpa's stick welder would not be a good choice....as far as novice operation goes.
Hi guys
I wast Tearing down the mustang today and when I ripped out the carpet I saw that I need new floor panels...great. Then looking up underneath the dash....leaky cowl vent, too. Double great. I already knew that I needed to replace the torque boxes, front cross member, and radiator...
OK. The carb sticks and the oil pan is dented and I already got rid of the exhaust manifolds. Other than that, I was going to sell of the entire engine, tranny, and driveshaft.
Hi all,
I'm about to remove the 289 and C4 from my '68 and sell it to make room for a new 347 and T5. As far as I can tell, these are the original parts and the car ran fine before my hack job at it. The guy who bought the 8" rear end from it is also interested in the engine and tranny. The...
Thanks much.
What are the HP capacities of each? I was looking at building/buying a 347 and had heard that a 302 block will split at or above about 450hp. I'm guessing this leaves no room for a 100 shot of nitrous or any other mod hp-increasing mod in the future.
I know this has been covered before but, for the life of me, I can't find the tread.
What's the difference between the production, Sportsman, Ford Racing, Mexican, Dart, blocks?
Thanks in advance.
Well, the 347 from Keith Craft is going to run about 5200 economy or 6200 standard. Both make plenty of power. I live in Arkansas, so I can pick up the engine. I think the G force T5 runs about 2k new. It's so far in the future, though. I haven't really tallied all the costs yet.
I'm looking at the same budget for a 68 coupe. I've pretty much decided on a 347 stroker from Keith Craft Racing and a G-force T5.
That's in the future, though. Right now, I'm waiting for the wife to OK my purchase of a new Currie 9" rear end. Either 3.89 or 4.11 gears. I haven't decided.
I know exactly what you mean. I had surgery two weeks ago and am sitting at home. Dr's instructions are pretty much to "do nothing" The project car will have to wait while I waste away...
I'll do a bit of comparison shopping between propane torch and heat gun...
Don't worry, the car has had all the fluids, the rear springs, gas tank, and rear end removed. It's in such bad condition, setting it on fire might actually improve it. :D
