Last test & tune of the year, first time out for me...

Not bad at all if your car is pretty much stock. What's the altitude at your track? I had a test and tune day a couple of weeks ago and I had the same tire spin problems you had, so ET Street Radials are going on before I go back to the track next season. Good luck to ya in the futrue...

    Crap Flaps

Thanks, I like to make stuff in my garage as a hobby kind of thing. I tinker with all kinds of things, some of which turn out pretty cool and of course some is laughable and now reside at the landfill.

    Crap Flaps

I hope I have my MT radials and wheels by then, I am getting stoked for next year. I have a couple of other irons in the fire now too, I am getting the stuff together to install a "catch can" for the transmission and another one for the oil. Hopefully I will get the "Anodizing" stared in a...

    Crap Flaps

Hey Kool... I told you a few weeks ago I was going to make something so I looked around at what I had on hand for some kind of plastic/rubber kind of material and I didn't have anything suitable to go that wide so good 'ole 6061 aluminum it was LOL. I did reshape the upper outside edge and...

    Crap Flaps

I answered that in my original post. That blue tape looks like crap on the car and if you are having pictures taken or a video it really looks bad. It takes longer to put that tape on the car than it does to put these on or remove them. You are entitled to your opinioon as am I, to each his...

    Crap Flaps

No I wouldn't want to drive around with those on there either, to and from the track maybe, but they are just for utility use. I could make them closer to the body but that kinda defeats the purpose or I guess I could paint them Torch Red but why bother. I suppose if I had a Cobra I could...

    Crap Flaps

Anyone who has run their S197 at the drag strip knows about the "Crap" that attaches itself to your rear quarter panels from burn-outs or simply spinning a bit during launch. Some of the guys use a crap load of painters tape to protect their ride which I am sure works but goes through a lot of...

    Emblam Help/Pics

Anodizing only works with Aluminum as far as I know, they probably would need to be "black chromed" if not painted.

They look good on there but I think with the way your car looks now you should paint them black instead of the chrome. Especially with your black gas cap back there replacing the chrome GT emblem.

Did you paint your tail light frames or is that an added piece? Looks great :nice:

    Interior Bling help

Kooldawgs interior is almost all black and black anodized and is awsome. I went th other way and added some blingie stuff to brighten it up some. That is waht is so cool aboput these cars is that there is a lot of ways to express your personal tastes. Oh and did somebody say "TCI Shifter" I...

    hot lapping, track tips

Another inexpensive suggestion would be a manual cooling fan switch so that youy can run your radiator cooling fan wide open with the motor off between runs. Alsor if the computer doesn't see it as hot enough to engage the Hi Speed fan to help keep things cool. It's about $10 to $12 in parts at...

    Cooling Fan Overide...

After a day at the track last weekend I decided (after seeing other peoples) to install a hi speed fan switch so I can run the fan over the radiator with the key off between runs to help cool the motor down. I used a lighted rocker switch and mounted in my front cup holder next to my line lock...

Yes a trans brake also does that but far better.

    SLP Line Lock install...

In part yes, but it is primarily to get a good solid launch off the light.

    SLP Line Lock install...

Yes, I liked where I put the push button, but I was afraid that an unathorized person (like a parking garage, or gas station mechanic etc) might think it is a plaything. So I installed the key switch to "ARM" the system. It is probably not really necessary but what the heck. If it was in a...

    SLP Line Lock install...

I installed an SLP line lock kit on my 05 GT last week with the help of "kooldawg6". I got to test it at the drag strip yesterday and it works as advertised. The SLP kit comes with a toggle switch but I liked the idea of a momentary push button switch instead, and mounted the switch in my...
