    Can i go from 1.6 to 1.7 roller rockers with out a problem with piston to valve clearance.I'm running a stock bottom end with Edelbrock RPM heads and intake. Will this work , has anyone tried this with this combo ?? CHEERS myroc

    Top Speed w/ AOD

    My tranny is set like this, start in D floor it and it will shift at 5500 RPM and as soon as it shifts to 2nd pull the shifter back into 1st, which will be second and then manually shift into to 3rd. I think this is a little easier on the tranny.

    Hey it was an Accufab TB trust me i bought it brand new :mad: , and the customer service is a joke.It whissled more then a upside down hooker in the wind. This is just my opinion and i will never buy one again. :bang:

    Accufab are WAY over rated. I had one and the throttle screw fell off and screwed up my motor, $1500.00 damage, So this time i bought a Prof product and it awesome no stupid whissle throttle response is right there, with the Accufab it had hesitation. Bottom line save your money.

    Not hard to install but quite messy removing the pan, but i would recomend going to a tranny shop to get it done. Go to the lentech website and see what value body suit your needs http://www.lentechautomatics.com/aodhome.html

    If you are going to keep your AOD (not change to a standard) just go buy a Lentech value body, this way you can use all your gears 123 at full RPM. Just putting in a shift it will make it shift hard , but you wont get full use of 2 gear unless you do the old 1-D-1. My tranny has a 9.5" TCS 3000...

    Great post and info guys. I'm getting a fiberglass hood and was dead against hood pins, but now i will more then likely get them.Don't want to wreck a new hood.

    My research was done with a FMS alum rad in mind, i don't know if this is right but you could have the best E fan in the world but if the rad is not up to snuff then it not going to help. No offence takin, this is how we learn.

    I also bought a Black Magic flex-a-lite electric fan, did alot of research and they seem to be up there with the best, little pricey though but you don't want to go cheap on your cooling system.
