    You have the (a) jam nut installed under the Roush knob, right? You might try some teflon tape (like for plumbing) on the threads of the shifter handle to make it more tight.

    I've got the chromed plastic and think they actually look nicer than the aluminum since they're domed (not flat) and look more 'retro' in that respect. Also, since most "chrome" on cars is plastic these days I'm not too concerned about it peeling...if it does I guess I'll peel the trim off...

    I changed mine to synthetic at 1200 miles and always have done it at under 1200 miles whenever I get a new car (regardless of whether synthetic was already in it). I've heard you don't have to with new cars but I guess I'm superstitious.
