    Videos of new Roush Exahust

Well, sadly I have to say I got to take off the Roush exhaust. It sounds great slowing down and at WOT and at idle. But the drone at 2000 RPM is too much for my ears. Most people don't have a problem but my ears are bothering me alot with the sound. I already have some hearing lost from years...

ROUSH on the SPEED channel last night

From what I have read and seen on TV, the Roush isn't as good in terms of performance but I would rather have the Roush based on styling, colors (stripes), friendlyness of the company (Roush web site is great, has alot of good info, they try hard to connect to their customers), etc. Both...

ROUSH on the SPEED channel last night

I watched the hour long program on the SPEED channel called the Art of Performance Engineering. They covered the 2010 Roush Mustang. I thought it was great. Had behind the scenes footage of the design work that went into the 2010 Roush. Talked to Jack himself and a bunch of others. If you missed...

    Videos of new Roush Exahust

As mention previously in another thread, I just had installed the Roush catback system on my GT and I am finding the drone very bothersome to me. Probably because I must have a hearing problem. But anyway the drone is bad at 2000 rpm. At idle it is fine and like at 60 mph at 1500 rpm it is fine...

Mustang comes out ahead again in major magazine

The Oct 09 issue of Road and Track compared the Mustang, Camaro and Challenger on a long, pony express trip and the Mustang came out on top. Some results: 0 - 60 mph = Mustang, 5.3 sec Camaro, 4.6 Challenger, 5.8 60 - 0 = Mustang, 115'...

    5th Gear?

I use 5th on the highway of course but also around town when I will be crusing around 40 mph or more and I want to save some gas. But like you all that will change next week when I get the Roush exhaust put in. Then I think I will be downshifting more into 4th to eliminate the drone I may get...

Any advantage in replacing rear speakers?

Well, I called Crutchfield again and got more info from them. The guy tried to talk me out of the Polks and to go with the Infinity 6822CF speakers which are 1/2 the price! He said they were more efficent than the Polks. Looking at their web site I don't see that under specs. I see the Polks...

Any advantage in replacing rear speakers?

Hi. I checked further the rear deck speakers and I see they are mounted from the top. I thought they would be mounted from below. This changes everything. On my rear deck the deck itself is some fabric panel thing that covers the whole area under the rear window. I am not sure how to remove it...

Any advantage in replacing rear speakers?

I have installed rear speakers lots of time, mostly in Camaros. What is the tough part? Other than a old person like me laying on his back in the trunk that is... Seriously, the only tough thing I see is finding the conversion plug to match the Ford cable to the Polk's terminals. Joe...

Any advantage in replacing rear speakers?

I just doubled checked. The rear two deck speakers are cheap. They are rated at 4 ohms, 25 watts and have paper cones! That makes the 500 watt claim rather dubious. On every car I have ever owned, the rear deck speakers are the power speakers to produce the bass because they use the trunk itself...

Any advantage in replacing rear speakers?

I have the GT Prem Mustang with the Shaker500 system. It sounds really good. But while I was looking around in the trunk I noticed the speakers look kind of cheap. What I mean is the magnets look awfully small for the amount of power the sysytem puts out. Has anyone with the Shaker500 system...

SYNC 3 is out, free turn by turn directions!

It does give turn by turn directions, traffic and weather reports. I am very happy about that it is free for 3 years. Now I don't have to worry about mounting my TomTom on my new dash 8-)

SYNC 3 is out, free turn by turn directions!

I went on the SYNC website looking for updates and I saw SYNC 3 released. I downloaded and installed and now I should have turn by turn directions and traffic reports. Without the nav radio, just SHAKER 500 system. At least that is what I think I will have after the up to 24 hour activation...

MYCOLORS - Any list of them on line?

The custom colors of my new GT are great. But there are dozens and doezens of possible colors you can get using R, B and G. I was hoping by now someone would have posted somewhere on line photos showing what colors you can get with what settings of R, B and G. Anyone know of such a site? Joe

Anyone used a tuner on their 2010 GT?

I must admit I feel very old. Back in the days when my '78 Z28 was new, souping up your car meant adding a new intake manifold, carb, headers and cam. It meant getting your hands dirty. To think that today you can soup up your car's performance by retuning the engine's computer and never get...

That silly sound tube thingy .......

My question is once the stock mufflers are replaced with free flowing ones, can you even hear the engine intake anymore? On my '78 Z28 with louder mufflers, I can't hear the Holly 4b kick in much. Joe

Drove home new GT today, but got problems

Well, I talked to the service manager who was upset about the glass as much as me since he has to pay it himself, he can't charge Ford the $300. He talked to the two tecs who were working on it and they swear they didn't not mean to do it, they just could not break the mirror free from the...
