    It will be fine. Many people lift them by the intake. I work on transmissions so with FWD cars I have to hold up the engine with a brace when I drop the frame. Most of the time I use bolts in the intake to hold the engine and on many cars there are engine hooks that have maybe one or two bolts...

    Just because the pushrods are the right length does not mean that you can use them. You need harden pushrods because you have guide plates.

    AOD problems

    If it wasn't seated right the pump would have been toasted at or before startup and the car would not be moving at all. Whats the mileage on this transmission? What did the fluid look and smell like before you put the new converter in it?

    Ok, I only scanned over what you posted. Next time I have a T5 apart I'll take a closer look at the switch.

    So what thats basically saying is that the sensor on the top front of the T5 is not a neutral switch as far as the computer is concerned.

    If I remember right the switch is tripped in 5th gear to tell the computer to go to the highway/fuel saving strategy. I've never heard the neutral switch theory before.

    Yes, when you let of the gas and you are coasting your vacuum is high, so your fuel pressure gets lower because the FPR is controlled by engine vacuum.

    I use a tube of black silicone in a caulking gun to seal everything from exhaust gaskets to water pumps and transfer cases where I work. I've never had a problem.
