    If you cut the heater box, you don't need to mess with th A/C. However if you want to change to 134a it will cost around 40-50$$.

    It's not so bad. The hardest part is tearing the dash apart. Bag and Tag all bolts, screws etc.... Start out with removing the console, radio, heater controls, glove box door, instrument panel, speaker grills etc...most anything that will come apart needs too...make sure to disconnect the heater...

    Transmission grinding

    My 89 LX does it when I go into fifth, I have to let the RPM's drop a little so it won't grind. Been doing it for the last 8-9 years. Not bad for 130k miles

    door lock actuator problem

    I used a drill to knock out the rivet and used a 1/4 20 bolt in its place. Used a Dremel to cut the excess threads so it doesn't hit the jamb. Alot easier to replace the next time around, since the door locks are prone to failure.

    FoMoCo has a safety recall out for ignition switches. Call a service center and give them your VIN. They will check and see if it needs to be done, it's FREE :banana: Had all the same problems as you guys did; not anymore

    think I figured out your problem. this morning I started my car and the blower, turn sigs etc were dead. wiggled the ignition switch and it came on!!..I think the relay under the dash is fried out, the radiator fan runs all the time now. going to work last week I heard an electrical frying sound...

    Blower motor switch

    :bang: sometimes I have to rap on it to make it work. it all started when I took the dash apart for a heater core replacement- no easy task!- all plugs are tight on the switch, but the switch itself seems loose. anyone ever had this happen??..would'nt really care too much, cept its still cold...

    Thanks Guys, will give it a try. put a heater coil into my coupe this weekend, found out that the dealer installed alarm wiring won't let the car start when I cut it!!. Took a dremel and cut the coil box out enough to remove the coil without disturbing the entire assembly, man what a job!!..got...

    :shrug: I have a 93 convert 2.3, where is the fuel pump relay??, on my 89 it's under the drivers seat. I'm gonna splice into the hot wire with a switch as a cheap anti theft device..thanks
