    Holley Vacuum Secondary Springs

I have a similar setup. I guess it depends on how you like to drive. Following Holleys tech line, I made one of my 600VS run like an all out double pumper. Playing with the springs on another 600VS made the car run better, but still cut the secondaries in too quickly IMO. So, on my new...

    Starter Wiring help

I don't have my Mustang with me at the moment so looked into my manuals. The original starter has one cable termination (solenoid to starter) which is a cable the same gauge as the positive battery cable. The starter picks up it's ground from the engine block. When you turn on the key, the...

    Starter Wiring help

Looking at your first picture, it looks like your PowerMaster starter has a built in solenoid on the starter, which would negate using the stock solenoid. Did you replace the original starter with the Power Master?

    Having Trouble Bleeding New Brakes

I bought a one man brake bleeding bottle system from Harbor Freight that was really cheap. The small plastic bottle has a magnet attached to it so you can stick it on parts of the body or frame that is higher than the bleed screw. This way, after pushing the pedal down and bleeding air out of...

    Having Trouble Bleeding New Brakes

Sorry, links didn't work. Even with air in the lines and/or MC, you should still be able to pump the pedal and build up some pressure.

    Starter Wiring help

http://www.powermastermotorsports.com/097__Mastertorque_Chevy_starter.pdf In these instructions from the Powermaster website, the positive and negative cables should be the same size. It mentions that the switched wire should be typically a 12 gauge wire.

    Starter Wiring help

What year engine? If I remember correctly, LARGE GAUGE wire from ground source in engine compartment to one side of starter and another LARGE GAUGE wire from other lug on starter to solenoid. When you crank starter, solenoid sends juice from battery to starter. Positive and negative power...

    This is the Weekend!

I once bought a 302 out of a junkyard that was all intact, just dirty. Not knowing how long it sat and not having anything to prime the engine with, I drained and filled the oil, shot some oil down each cylinder via the spark plug holes and hand cranked the engine via the crankshaft pulley. It...

    Selling car need advice

Yes, I'd be cautious too. Three thousand miles away means the buyer is not in this country, or at least the 48 state block. There are too many scams going on from foreign soil. Be careful. I once sold a rolling chassis of a 55 Chevy with no engine or trans. The buyer knew he was getting a...

What is my 1966 Mustang worth??? Help!

I guess it depends on the level of expertise on the buyers part.

What is my 1966 Mustang worth??? Help!

What do you mean by "minimal work"? Car sales are slow these days and I would think unless your car stands out amongst the classics, don't expect too much.

    67 fastback rebuild pics

I guess being a survivor of the sixties, I do love candy apple red! My GF hates red cars so I just amuse her. I don't care for the "factory" red color though. Good luck. :nice:

Looks like you have the space for the project. Do you live in the "rust belt"?

    Manual Choke install

How good is "their" customer service? Why not just return it for a refund? Just by doing a Google search, there are quite a few sources for that manual choke model. I have a Holley 600 with a manual choke, but never really had to use it. One day I decided to install the cable for the...

    Running and then dies

You'll need to find out how much amperage your stereo component pull. The 600w is the power to the speakers. If the amperage of your stereo is really high, like above the alternators rating, then you have to adjust accordingly. Personally, I would rather invest in a good cam and headers and...

    Running and then dies

You are probably on the right track. Squealing fan belt is not good for an alternator but you would think that it would cause a heating problem.

    Help with brakes please.

I don't know how the power brake setup is on a 65 model, but if using a dual reservoir MC and booster, I'm sure new engine bay brake lines are required. I made new lines for my 67 and being the first time, it took a lot of practice to make some good flares on the tubing and finding the correct...

    Help with brakes please.

I believe that is a distribution block as opposed to a proportioning valve. It has a sliding piston to cut off front or back braking systems in case of a loss of fluid in either system. The electrical connector on the top is for a warning light on the dash. I had a locking problem, but it...

    Help! car won't start

If it cranks only once then doesn't, with the key in the on position without trying to start the engine, feel the outside of the battery cable and see if it is warm to hot to the touch. If it is, then the cable isn't letting enough of the battery cranking power to the solenoid/starter...
