    Wiper motor doesn't work??

I despise Auto Zone. Cheap parts, cheap tools... even the splices and switches they carry are crap. I have one 3 blocks from my house, and I take the drive several miles to Advance when I need something for my Stang.

Mechanical fuel pressure gauge pegged out

I'd say it's no good. You could try to open it up and see if there's simply something holding the needle up high or if it's been over-driven.

Mechanical fuel pressure gauge pegged out

Was it pegged when it was disconnected from the fuel line? If so, it's most likely FUBAR...

    TORQUE WRENCH TESTING?

We have a torque wrench at work that we use all the time. It's a 1" drive, max 800 ft/lbs, about 6' long. We break loose the same nuts that we torque with it. Nothing wrong with it and it won't hurt the calibration. Ours get calibration certification annually and believe me, if wrenches were...

    intermittent shut offs

It's easy... just like the factory unit. Just may have to use a press to get the gear to initially move once the roll pin is out. I just changed my PIP in the Pro Billet for an intermittent miss... no joy.

    Engine rebuild kit questions

I got my springs for checking PTV clearance from Ace Hardware. They have drawers full of all kinds of springs. All you need is one of about the same diameter, and yeah, they're nice and light but strong enuf to hold the valve closed.

    Intermittent miss...

Thanks Jason. I have a brand new copper contact MSD cap and rotor on top of a new Pro-Billet distributor. I've checked inside, and there's no carbon tracking or evidence of arcing. Guess I'm going to have to look into other systems, but not sure where to go. Tank has been cleaned out with a...

    Intermittent miss...

Grrrrrrr.... no help. But I do think the 409 Taylors did make it run a bit smoother. Hard to tell with a TFS-1. Pulled codes again. Nothing except the emissions stuff that has been removed... 95, 33, 44. Cylinder balance test shows a "9"... All OK. I'm about ready to slap a 6AL on it and see...

blocking coolant flow on the heads?

Coolant flow... from the water pump into the block, 1 port on each side. Coolant moves thru the block to the rear. At the rear of the block, coolant moves up into the heads, then moves forward through the heads. At the front of the heads, coolant moves into the crossover tube, the 2 sides of...

    Intermittent miss...

Hey Noobz, just an update... changed out the TFI and PIP, no help. Ordered a set of Taylor wires today... we'll see how that does. If that doesn't do it... well, I just don't know anymore.

    crate motor swap... any suggestions?

I think he said he's putting the H/C/I off the Mustang onto the Bronco and wants a stroker motor for the Mustang but doesn't want to use the original block cuz it has over 200k miles so would the linked blueprintedengine be a good one to get cuz that way he could get more power in both vehciles...

Yeah, installed spring heights. There's nothing else in that area that would measure out to those numbers.

    Catalytic Converters help :(

So there's 3 lines coming out of the fenderwell? Only thing I can say is to remove the plastic inner fender lining and see what you've got. On my 87, out of the inner fender, there was 1 fuel tank vent line going to the charcoal can, and a single vac line going to the vac resevoir.

    Tuning EFI vs. carb conversion

I understand what you're saying... you're thinking the narrowband only reads 10-20, whereas the wideband will read say from 5 to 25... a "wider band". This is a mistake. Think of a narrowband as a simple switch... rich, lean or in the middle. That's all it knows... that's it. Wideband senses...

    Tuning EFI vs. carb conversion

Wideband will give you actual AFR... 14.1:1, 15.7:1, 12.3:1 etc. At all throttle settings. Narrowband (factory sensors) will only give you rich or lean... they are more like a switch, whereas the wideband is totally variable to the limits of the system.
