    Got my $10 ebay stock 5.0 dizzy, man that thing was nasty. Tore it all down, cleaned, reused the old TFI / PIP but with new silicone grease, new brass contact rotor, cap and adapter... Installed, timed, warmed up and... the miss is gone. :banana: I'm going to try the MSD Billet dizzy...

    Doing the actual wire would be a whip... it'd be nothing compared to actually trying to cross drill all those bolts. Start with about a dozen .035 drill bits and a drill press...

    I know your pain, man. I just won an ebay auction for a stock dizzy, so I'll get that one fixed up and try it. After that, if it's no help, I may go after the ignition switch and connectors / wiring.

    Lancer, sweet! That is a badazz jet. And your brother works the '87. That is a beautiful aircraft. Bet it's more impressive in person. I enjoy working the '57 and '67. Nice airplanes. I'm full CAT qualified and Power Run / Taxi on both. That '57 is dangerous on a power run... she can get away...

    Rebuilt A9P installed, no help. Seems to run better overall, but still has the miss. Started instantly. :nice: Got a $10 bid in on a used Ford dizzy, auction closes tonight. Does anyone think the MAF meter could cause this? I wouldn't think so. I'm running a used C&L 73 that I got off CList...

    I keep it about 1/2 full. When it's hot and coolant expanded, it comes up to about 3/4.
