    I used a jigsaw with a fine tooth blade and the cut was extremely clean. No need to clean up anything. Don't waste your time removing the hood. It's not necessary. Just lay an old blanket across the engine and fenders.

    A good tuner and hands on tweaking will cure it. They don't need a dyno, just being there with the car making repeated adjustments.

    The drivablility issues require hands on attention most of the time. Give the guy a chance to straighten it out. It might take a few tries or it may not satisfy you at all. One way to find out. Let us know how it goes.

    It sounds to me like maybe you are getting email tunes and not a dyno tune. Cams are finicky as hell on these 3 valve engines and require some attention in person by the tune guy. If by chance you are getting your tune in person by the tune guy, maybe he doesn't know as much as he should.

    I'd have to agree with the timing issue. I'd also be glad you have this problem and not an interferance issue which could have destroyed your engine. Check the cam timing in relation to the crankshaft.

    The bolt is a special shoulder design. Just call the dealer and get one. They won't need the part number.

    They engage high. You could do an adjustable release brg, but then it would more than likely give you shifting problems if you adjust it to make the clutch engage closer to the floor, but a minimal difference should be ok.

    If your car just happens to have the same Cal ID # as the previous car then yes. For example, in '05 there were 12 different Cal ID #'s. Your best bet would be to take it to a Diablosport dealer and have them set it up for the next car and supporting modifications.
