    My 2.3 does this also. I found you can gently pull out on the cylinder and push it back in, and it won't turn again without the key. But after you take the key out, you have to do it again.. A little insurance until you get your new cylinder.

    Timing and Idle Q

    The ECU has to relearn some stuff after changing it. Undo the negative battery cable for 30 minutes, then run it for 20 miles with the new timing, and see if it's better. If not, I'd back it back off.

    Start it, close both of the carb. screws, and open one until it runs good, then when it start running like crap, back it off just a bit. Do the same to the second screw. Do you have a good ground strap to the block?

    They oil pump shaft probably won't turn (unless the motor does), but the shaft on the distributor will rotate somewhat to mesh up with the cam gear. Try pulling it out and making sure you on TDC on the compression stroke, and restabbing it, rotor to the number one wire.

    They were 28 oz until 1985, then they used 50 oz. You need the 28 oz if it's stock internals. You need the one Daggar listed at Summit.

    Make sure you dont misalign the belt. You can have it off 1/2 of a rib on any accessory, and it will do exactly as you described. If you look closesly, the belt can sit either right up against the pulleys, or out on the first rib.. Make sure they're all the same.

    Of course it can, that is an adjustable clutch cable. Pull the fork until it is tight, or almost engages the clutch, then tighten that bad boy down. Problem solved.

    SO, what gears would be BETTER with the KB? Would the higher gear (3.73 opposed to 2.73) be better, due to turning the tires less per revolution?

    Try you mech. gauge first. Then the sender like they suggested. The easiest way for me also is to pull the motor. I had a 90 LX that kept good oil pressure for 15 minutes and a idle. If I went down the road with it warm though, the pressure would drop to zero unless I revved it hard, then...
