    Underdash Wiring Help! Photo's

1966 pictures by Barnstang - Photobucket The color codes are listed in tables on the diagram pages. Don't assume that one color code on one page is the same on another page...meaning the table on each page applies to that page only as a rule of thumb. SOme of the wire numbers are used more than...

    overheating issue

Make sure the lower radiator hose isn't collapsing shut at higher rpms. THere should be a spring in the bottom hose to prevent this. You can run the throttle up and hold it and watch the hose to see if that's happening. Something to check.

How much would this work cost if done by someone else ....

THat's a pretty close estimate. I figured up 16 hrs as a worst case came to $800-$900 But it depends on where you are located/what the average local labor rate is. A lot of that you can do yourself. THats what this forum is about for the most part. You can get a compression tester at Sears...

THe switch can also wear out. Iv'e drilled out the rivits, cleaned it and reassembled with machine screws, but the better fix is to just replace it sinces it's repoped now if everything else checks out.

    Master cylinder

When you bleed the brakes, do you get a good solid stream of brake fluid out the bleeder? And does the pedel drop? Make sure you are getting good pressure at each wheel. A brake presure tester helps, but not absolutly necessary. Do you have a stock distribution block? Is it possible the stupid...

LED taillights - no blinkers now! UGGGHH

THe kit should have come with the flasher, it may not "look" like a traditional flasher too. THe one that came in one of the kits we did had a ground wire that needed to be fastened as well. Make sure you check for that too.

LED taillights - no blinkers now! UGGGHH

One of the kits we did reqd a seperate power wire be run back to the trunk-the stock wiring would not carry enough current to flash the LEDs. Check the instructions and see. If the instructions don't call for a seperate power wire, you may want to string one outside the car to see if it helps...

    question on driveline angle

You can notch the floor support for the added clearence. There was a thread awhile back that showed some good pictures. On T-5 conversions, I notch the floor support and weld a flat plate back up into the section that is notched out. Use a heavy plate, at least 3/16" plate. If you don't feel...

Autometer Wiring for 68 Eleanor clone

Ohhhh...well then, you most likly have to draw a diagram and trace each wire. One wire should gang all the grounds together, one should gang all the gauge illuminatin bulbs together, one will gang all the 12v gauge feeds for the gauges that require 12v (I think all of them will) One will be a...

Autometer Wiring for 68 Eleanor clone

The place you got the pod from can't help with a pinout on the connector? i assume you got the pod prebuilt? You may have to trace each wire and pull the instructions off the Autometer site to map out you own pinout diagram. If someone were to have the pinout, they will need to know who makes...

Not getting 12volts from ignition switch

WHat harness did you install? If you are doing an EFI swap, then things are going to be a little different. Is the under dash harness the original factory harness? If so, there is one wire that is switched 12v coming off the ign switch. On the 64 1/2 it should be a red with green strip wire...
