    5.4 question

When you're talking 5.4L, high end really isn't a consideration. You can't spin them like a 4.6L. Not without spending large amounts of cash.

    Blower question

"...will be fine.." for how long? I guess I should clarify what I mean by safe. My viewpoint is a bit skewed to the OEM way of doing things. Safe to me means totally worry free. Aftermarket companies don't have to run durability tests for their products. They build and tune an engine...

    Water Pump Pulley

You'll have to call the company you plan on buying from. They're probably all different by a few mm.

    Blower question

    That doesn't mean it's safe.

    Blower question

Yeah, centri's. Full boost with a roots at 2,000 rpm on what is basically a GT block with 10:1 c/r is asking for trouble. Cylinder pressures are going to be through the roof. You'd better keep the boost down around 5 psi.

    Blower question

What do you plan to do about the compression ratio?

    Water Pump Pulley

Yeah, you'll need a longer belt. The tensioner won't give you enough to make up for the length needed.

    5.4 question

How tall are these "adapters"? They'd need to be ~2.75" high in order to maintain the runner's line to the valve. If it's short, the angle changes. This is bad for a number of reasons. One, the air charge must change directions twice, which kills flow. Two, the injector won't be pointing...

Any reason to get 180* t-stat over a stock t-stat for PI headswap?

The PCM will do what it does based on engine temp. It adds and pulls spark based on coolant and air charge temps. We can consider air charge temps to be a constant in this context. The cooler the engine coolant temp, the more spark your PCM will add, to the tune of (no pun intended) 1* of...

LT Headers & Full length H pipe HACK job

No....over. You always want the upstream pipe to fit inside the downstream pipe for best flow. Depending on the size of the collector, you may be able to expand the h-pipe enough to slide it over the collector. You can get pipe expanders online. I don't what they cost. I borrowed a friend's...

Any reason to get 180* t-stat over a stock t-stat for PI headswap?

That's simply not true. The engines burn cleaner at the higher temps, but performance is best at lower temps. Cooler is always better for performance.

More Accurate - Speedo or GPS?

Well, if anything, you're speedo reads faster as tires wear more. Try the 10 mile dash thing and compare the GPS to the speedo. Post back. I'm intersted in the findings. If I had to pick the one I thought would be more accurate, I'd side with the GPS.

LT Headers & Full length H pipe HACK job

You should be able to cut it to length and uses reduction flanges or whatever to get the fit right. Why is the pro-chamber welded to you catback???

More Accurate - Speedo or GPS?

I'm gonna guess that each has a margin of error of atleast 2-3%, maybe more. Easy way to check is to find a 10 mile stretch of highway and stopwatch that 10 mile run at 60 mph. Should be exactly 10 minutes. Any delta can be used to calculate your true speed. Also, what is your tire...

    stall at idle

I can't say enough how important this is. Randy is NOT a parts-pusher. This is just plain old good advice. Do it right the first time, and that includes using the right parts. :nice:

UPR K Member kit, any good?

stock struts, UPR coil overs with 14"-150# springs, UPR control arms (chromoly), and Granatelli weight-jacker lowers out back.

UPR K Member kit, any good?

I'll tell what....it corners like crazy right now. It's a bit light up front, and with the stock struts (new), it's a bit firm but acceptable to me. I have Hooker l/t's, and the clearance is great. ;)
