    05 GT Manual, lossing syncros 2sd-3rd ???

There is a TSB for this. When they open it up, if there is any metal shavings, they are supposed to replace the whole tranny. Mine is in now for this. They are replacing the 2nd, 3rd, and reverse gear syncros along with a couple items that I don't recall. The biggest issue is the waiting...

    Which CAI do you use?

I pretty much answered your question in the other thread related to this. Yes, I love it. No, I don't have any problems with it. Yes, SCT is the only one with a tune for the Steeda 90mm Maf. I would suggest going to each Diablo/SCT's website and compare features. I feel the SCT is a bit...

Steeda 90mm CAI/MAF and the Xcal or Pred tune

I have the XCal2 and had the Steeda 85mm maf/CAI. I just switched out the maf to the 90mm. Much better. The 90mm is supposed to add 4rwhp/4rwtq. I haven't been back to the dyno since the 313rwhp/327rwtq dyno pulls. Some say the Predator is just a little easier for the end user. I haven't...

    Which CAI do you use?

Here is a dyno chart of my car, before the majority of mods-February 23. The mods included in the dyno chart are just the Steeda-CAI, SCT/Steeda tune, Steeda underdrive pullies and 4.10 gear (which will only hurt your dyno numbers)linky to dyno chart .

    Heads and Cams?

The only 2 companies that are CNC port and polishing heads are charging between $1200 and $1500. The only problem is that I don't think SCT or Diablo is capable of tuning for this 100% correctly quite yet. As far as the cams, I haven't heard anything yet.

    Which CAI do you use?

I have the Steeda CAI coupled with Steeda's SCT tune. The Steeda CAI now has the 90MM MAF. The intake tubing going from the MAF to the throttle body is only cosmetic. Atleast, I haven't seen any dyno charts or flow charts proving that the tubing does squat. I think that if the tubing would...

    1/4 and 1/8 track times

12.83@106 1.79-60'. I still have some suspension issues. I'll be knocking down to mid 12's once I get it correct. Can't wait for the cool weather!

    check out this CAI-Western Motorsports

I'm not overly concerned about it's placement, dirt, etc. I don't think this location would pick up any more dirt than a CAI filter that was located in the wheel well like some previous model years. They mentioned the RAM air piece they're making which will replace the radiator cover.

http://www.wmsracing.com/wmsweb/05hvi.htm It draws air through the grill. The dyno numbers aren't up yet on their website. 20+rwhp without a tune. I believe they'll be ready by July. I'll be ordering one and will post installation feedback and dyno numbers. It's different than the norm. I think...

Predator or SCT: Can either of these turn off the TCS permanently?

SCT-Your tuner can turn the TCS off in the XCal and you can turn off the TCS yourself in the XCal II.

What mods can be done without voiding warranty?

I wasn't going to go to that extent, but yes, some dealers will work with you. The service manager at my local dealership knows just about every mod I've done. He's told me that he'd work with me on just about anything. I did spread the stock differential, but didn't want to put in the OEM...

What mods can be done without voiding warranty?

There are no mods that will void the entire warranty. If you install a tune and the tune causes something to fail, no warranty. If you install a shifter and for some weird reason the tranny fails and they link the shifter to the failure, no warranty. If you install a blower and the windows...

    313.2rwhp/327.2rwtq

I have about $2800 in parts and maybe $1000 in labor. That's including dyno time, custom tune, and installing the header's and exhaust. I was going to install the headers/exhaust installed due to my mechanic already having the car to do the differential. I busted the stock diff. at the track...

    Which Headers?

The 1 5/8" longtubes are $699 and the 1 3/4" are $799. They are quality built. As far as the red, I assume you mean red line (rpm). You'll have to have your tune adjusted to bump up your rev limiter. I have mine moved up to 7000 rpm, but that's because I powershift at 6400 rpm and with...

    Which Headers?

Stainless Works has a great set of longtube headers available-1 3/4" or 1 5/8". I installed the 1 3/4 plus their 3" full exhaust and picked up 19 rwhp/19 rwtq. It sounds great as well. Here's a clip if you want to hear it. http://169stang.2005stang.com/video/dynoexhaust.mpg and another from...

    charge motion control deletes

Also called IRMC. They are mounted under your intake. The stock one's have a butterfly valve in each port. The aftermarkets don't have the valve. Some believe they are mostly for emissions. I have no idea what the true purpose of them are. I do know that it lets the motor breath a little...
