    Bouncing Speedometer

Try this first and also look to be sure the cable housing is not bent or kinked. If this doesnt fix it then look at the gear to be sure its not chewing itself up. If all that looks good. Then I would say you will need a speedo head. Bud

8 or 9 inch posi finder help- guru's?

If the 8.8 is out of a mustang it is going to cost more to use that in an older car. First it wasnt set up for leaf springs. Then you need to get the axle tubes welded into the center section so they dont pull out. If your going to race with it you will need to do C-clip eliminators and bigger...

    Diamondplate in the trunk

Might also look at those tailgate protectors for the inside of the tailgate on pickup trucks. I picked up a couple of those and cut them up for things. Diamond plate is high dollar stuff in alum. :nonono:

    Front suspension rebuild

So they are all junk then?? I had found some new nos ones listed on one of the sites. But your right the price was almost as high as the tubular ones. Also found the stock type already boxed. And they were high too. Since this is a big block car that is going to pull the wheels on the line I was...

    Front suspension rebuild

This is the thing I am wondering about?? "Beware of some of the imported arms as they can be quite thin." I dont plan on going road racing but I am planing on drag racing. The last thing I want is to have a control arm or tie rod break. How do you know what your getting from the Mustang part...

    Battery Relocation

Depending on tech you might need one of those sealed battery boxes. I havent checked into that just yet. I plan on running an Optima battery so I dont know how the rules go on that?? You can see in the picture that my cutoff is just mounted in the rear panel. The spot about half way up on the...

    I have 3.75 gears...is this too much???

68DARKHORSE is correct on the overdrive. My old 67GT 428 toploader in the 70's I had I ran 3:89 gears in if I remember right. It depends on what you want for top speed. I dont drive over 70mph much on the roads. Now on the drag strip is another story.... :D

    I have 3.75 gears...is this too much???

I put 3:73's in the 98GT I just sold. Everybody was like put 4:10's in it. It was an automatic so I felt 3:73's were enought. And they were. I have 4:10's in my 96 F250 Crewcab truck. Its a 460 with a 5 speed and other then then it gets 10mpg its ok on the highway. The 67GT I have now has 4:56...

    67 Brake Diagram Request

Thats the way my non-power disc setup is plumbed. Mine was a factory disc brake car. Someone took the power booster off and hooked it that way. The brakes feel really soft. I havent drove it other then from the trailer to the garage. But the guy I got it from drove it this way for 11 years...

    67 Brake Diagram Request

I think someone plumbed mine all wrong. They hooked the rear brakes straight into the rear of the m/c and the fronts go into the line lock off the front of the m/c then tee to the wheels. No block. No adjustable valve. No nothing. He said the brakes were acting funny?? Wonder why?? :nonono: lol

    Minitub ?'s

I would say it depends on how wide you want the tubs to be. I have about 20" between mine. This picture is not very good. I am in the process of redoing the carpet and all the inside right now. So this is a before shot.

    stock radio what size fuse?

I am not sure on the size you need. But I would guess a 10 or 15 amp should be fine for the radio. If the fuse keeps blowing then you either have a bigger amp load then the fuse your using or a short. Might have a hot wire that is shorted to something metal and blowing it. Hope that made sense...
