    Cutting Drag Launch springs

The drag springs are a much softer rate than your lowering springs so the will compress a lot more...I would not advise cutting them, it would kinda defeat their purpose...be warned the drag springs can be a b**ch to get in ( I went coilover).

Nothing positive about the GT-40 Intake?

I too am running a gt-40 on a supercharged engine, It was one of the first upgrades I did to the car and because it has worked so well for me on so many different combos I have kept it all of these years ( the good looks are a plus as well!). However with my current setup it is definatley...

Need help with proper backspacing..86GT W/Cobra brake upgrade

Thanks for all the good info guys! So here's the plan..... I am going to go ahead and order the 275 tires for the rear and just go with the 17x8 wheels that I have for the time being. I have heard that technically you should have a 9" wheel to run a 275 tire, but if you guys are doing it with no...

Need help with proper backspacing..86GT W/Cobra brake upgrade

Anyone... From the reasearch I have done since I posted this, I am hearing that in order to run a 9" wide rim in the rear I should have the correct length axles....My main concern is getting the front and rear track width as close to even as possible but without having any clearance issues...

Need help with proper backspacing..86GT W/Cobra brake upgrade

Ok, I know someone should be able to help me out with this one..My 86 GT had been converted over to the 13" Cobra brakes using 95 GT spindles and the North Racecars rear brackets. The stock length Fox body axles were retained, leading me to this question....What do I need to do/what...

what size rear did the 86 gt come with?

8.8 GEARS WER 3.08, 2.73, OR 3.27 I BELIEVE, THE TAG ON THE REAR WILL TELL YOU IF IT HAS NOT BEEN REMOVED...IF IT HAS THE PINION GEAR SHOULD SAY AS WELL

4 lugs to 5 conversion question

I would go ahead and do the SN ball joints as mentioned, while you already have everything apart.....However going through the conversion with the 7.5 will be, in my opinion, a complete waste of time. You already plan on swapping in an 8.8 so I would avise you to hold off on the 5 lug swap...

What do you think about these?

Yep, you do get what you pay for. And for the $229 it would cost you for those seats after shipping, you would only have to save a couple hundred more dollars to get a nice set of Corbeaus ( check 5.0resto.com, they have great prices ).

86 GT Brake Upgrade (What E-brake cables?)

I agree, I have had my car apart 3 times to complete the end result I have now...I got my SN booster from NAPA ( 94 up mustang gt/v6) for around $75. I did take some pics of the install that you may find helpfull, let me know if you want to take a look...Basically what you have to do is elongate...

86 GT Brake Upgrade (What E-brake cables?)

I did the same conversion on my 86 Gt a couple mos ago..You will need the sn95/Cobra rear caliper to housing lines ( NAPA part #'s 38072 and 38071, about 15 bucks each), and you will need to cut and flare the existing hard lines and install the new fitting...or you could buy an adaptor to adapt...
