    I'm with him..OEM parts, and done right. Wheel adaptors are a band-aid, and like someone else mentioned, you would need custom wheels with proper backspacng to work...so you would be spending more money, and still not have the improved platform to allow for future brake/wheel/suspension upgrades.

    +1 I had to learn the hard way as well. It is well worth the time and effort to flare the lines and eliminate the adaptors.

    This is speculation but I think the only difference in a 4cyl and 8cyl manual trans setup isthe input shaft...I cant see Ford actually producing two different forks for the exact same setup due to the increased costs of manufacturing. can you post a pic, I would be able to tell you for sure..

    Dude....Sorry to hear that, but I think we have all been there before! If the noise is as bad as you say, and is coming from the bottom end, you can bet its serious. Could be a number of different things...but the only way to find out for sure is to open it up and see...Probably not the answer...
