    Low Fuel Light?

    For the last two months my low fuel light won't shut off, the fuel guage still works fine, though. The light start acting unusual for the month prior to it's failure. How do I fix it? Thanks.

    How many of you are running modded motors wit HIGH Miles?

    My GT has over 202k miles and still running strong, uses a quart every 1k miles (rear main). I'm actually toying with the idea of NOS on my LX. Curious to see how long it would last.

    in the market....is mileage an issue?

    My GT has 201k miles on it and still running strong, only uses a quart every 1,000miles. In fact I pulled the valve covers for the first time earlier this spring to change the gaskets. My LX is still running strong as well.

    My Gt wieghs 3100lbs w/a 1/4 tank of fuel. My Notch wieghs 2920 w/a 1/4 tank of fuel.

    Throttle Response

    My 86' has excellent throttle response, from each idle to WOT, and light throttle applications. How long has it been since you've done a tune-up? Timing? TPS voltage?

    Opinion on a 86 Mustang

    Look over the car thoroughly. Look under the carpet in the hatch area(assuming it's a GT), crawl under every inch of the car with a flashlight and look for anything out of the ordinary. Take your time, it'll pay off in the end. If the car proves to be solid, it's a steal.

    Battery Discharging problems.

    Hook up a battery charger and put it on a 2amp charge overnight and see if your situation improves. Disconnect the positive battery cable and watch for any small sparks when the cable is touched to the battery.
