Challenge question about hp and torque from a honda guy

The reason diesel engines are so torquey and usually have lower HP numbers is because of their redline. My friend's 7.3l f-250 redlines at like 3k RPM. Since HP = (torque * RPM)/5252 HP is dependant on torque and RPM's. Lets say the 177lb/ft TDi redlines at 5000RPM (if max TQ were...

Who have home made Drilled brake rotors

I'm pretty sure this is not something you should do. There is more to it than just drilling holes.

    supercharger question

Like I said before - I was not trying to say which blower was better. Personally I don't care what anyone buys with their own money. All I was talking about was Mogs' false statements.

    supercharger question

But what you are not understanding is that the KB makes power down low AND UP TOP. Just because the KB has torque in the lower RPM's does not mean that it doesn't also make TQ up high. a KB that makes 400 lb/ft from 2500-6000 is not worse than a centrifugal that makes 400 lb/ft at redline...

    supercharger question

"Why Doesn't it?" Because the engine still revs to the same redline no matter which SC'r you have on it. You can have the same exact gearing on both SC'rs... it doesn't matter. The only issue with having the 4.10's or 4.30's with the KB is that you will need some sticky tires. We...

LOL, I was about to type the same thing before I saw your post. I had already type "That is an awesome explanation, too bad it doesn't apply to this specific case....."

    supercharger question

Huh? I'm sorry, but this entire post (besides the heat/weight) sounds like a load of BS. Just because they produce torque down low doesnt mean that there isn't still good torque up high. "A more usable RPM band"? Usable RPM band, by definition, means that you have torque down low, up top...

    My 2.2 KB dyno results....

I wasn't saying that it wasn't a fair comparison, I was asking if it was a fair comparison. I was asking if they were both equal besides the heads. i.e., the 2v coulda had much higher compression or something.

    My 2.2 KB dyno results....

Is that even a fair comparison? Were the CR's equal? I am sure the 2v and 4v were not completely equal on all other terms.

    Timing Advance with predator

A little off subject, but I have teh r50a revision and I still think it completely sucks. I was running it for a while and then switched back to the stock tune (just changed settings in the stock tune) and it feels MUCH stronger now. The base predator tune is "teh suck"
